We loved it … food was outrageous. Probably best food we have had in Southampton. I’d say more like the $$$$ versus the $$$... range. Which is fine. Was about $325 for two adults and a toddler. Great place, great staff, exceptional food. Read more
Absolutely Amazing! Chef put every bit of love into each dish he prepared. From the octopus to the seafood shepherds pie and... wagyu steak and completing it with apple pecan cake could not have been tastier!! We had the most delicious meal at The Plaza Cafe in Southampton! It was by far the best meal we had on the island! Chef & owner... When you walk in to the restaurant with a mask on and everyone looks at your like you’re weird because there was no longer a... mandate. Oops lol It was a quiet Friday evening and Plaza Café is conveniently located near my friend’s house there in SouthHampton. Being off season, there has been very little traffic and people on the streets. There were only 3 other parties in therestaurant when we walked in. This place is cute, private, has great good food, and service. Their menu is very small, but Iwas still having trouble deciding what I wanted to eat for dinner. Finally decided on the Tile fish….Yeah I know, I was like.Was told that they’re like human beings because they eat just about anything in the sea. No idea if that’s true or not, butI’ll take it. The dish was light and full of flavor. Tried some of my friend’s Salmon/Udon dish and I actually think his wasthe better choice. The salmon went very well with the udon. Noodles were kind of firm and juices full of flavor. Plenty ofparking in their private lot. Looks like they may share it with businesses/hotel in the area. I’d eat here again. All I can say is wow ! I have been here several times this summer and every single experience has been amazing !! I have been in... the restaurant industry for over 24 years and it's really hard to find restaurants that are consistent with food and service.Chef Doug is a master at seafood, me and my wife love to sit at the bar and their manager Samantha always takes care of us, sheis so passionate, a true professional. Our last experience ,we got there early and the chef did a tasting menu for us and it wasspectacular !! Cannot wait to go back! Read more
The Plaza Café provided my family and I a most excellent experience when dining in the hamptons. The ambiance was very well... thought out, considering the cozy and familial, yet sophisticated atmosphere. Accommodating us was the warm and consideratestaff; who took the extra effort to provide us with friendly conversation and to fulfill our requests. The executive chef isevidently very hardworking, serving dishes like their Montauk Pearls on the Half Shells, Tuna and Crab Tian, Macadamia CrustedMahi Mahi, and Plaza Café's Lobster and Shrimp 'Shepard's Pie.' Ultimately, my family am I found our trip to last about 2 hoursand enjoying it the whole way through. Would definitely recommend to someone hoping to have a heartwarming evening. Read more
This is hands down the most perfect experience I have ever had at any restaurant. Starting with the fact that their entire staff... is wonderful. I messed up my reservation and their hostess accommodated my mom and I immediately. The wait staff was attentive,courteous and efficient. Their chef is seriously talented. Our dinner was perfectly executed. The flavors were incredible whichalmost made me cry of happiness. As I said, this was perfect, in every way. I hope to be able to come back many times more.
