Food came out reasonably fast but wasn’t amazing in flavor. The mahi taco serving size was tiny. Staff were nice.
It was my very first time to Southampton, New York, and my friends and I stopped at Union Cantina for lunch. The food was... exceptional, and the service was spot on. We ordered the Union nachos as a starter, and I got the burrito bowl with chicken asmy main. They were having a cornhole tournament out front, and we were able to enjoy the fun and relaxing atmosphere beingseated outside. It was the perfect lunch on a lovely summer afternoon. Read more

Union cantina is more than Mexican food, is hispanic culture and good taste. I had the opportunity to visit this resturant in... the memorial weekend with my co-workers and was the perfect choice. As an appetizer we share the short rib tacos, there were sojuicy, tasty and a little sweet because of the small pieces of pinapple on it. For my entree, i order the lobster tacos with aside of crispy plantain and grilled asparagus. All the ingredients were fresh, very well combined and balanced. Union Cantina restaurant is a great choice to dine in the Southampton, NY. When my friends and I arrived to the restaurant, the... friendly hostess invited us to the table. It's a very pleasant restaurant with Mexican food. Overall place is cozy andauthentic. As a starter we ordered Grilled Asparagus and Yucca Fries. I ordered Skirt Steak Taco and it was very good and tasty.It had a perfect meat sauce. The dish comes with two tacos and ingredients are fresh and very well combined. Me and my friends decided we wanted to have a quick lunch before heading out to explore the Hamptons on Sunday, and we were... delighted to have found Union Cantina. This modern and stylish Mexican style restaurant is located in the heart of Southamptonand offers al fresco dining which was something we were looking forward to, as the weather was so pleasant. When coming in, wenoticed the restaurant was busy, with many of other guests deciding to eat outside, just like us. The welcome was first class,and water was brought to the table as soon as we sat down, which was a great touch. We decided to opt for ‘mocktails’instead of alcoholic beverages, and our waiter informed us they can create any cocktail off the menu without alcohol – we wentfor the virgin mojito, which in all honesty was one of the best I ever tasted. Then came the very best part – the food ofcourse. The ordered the ‘Union Guacamole’ to share which was not spicy at all – my friend was very happy about this asguacamole is usually served spicier and most of the time you are not offered the choice of having it n mild. We also shared the‘Queso Dip’ which came with warm tortillas, and the ‘Carne Molida (Ground Beef) Empanada’. The Queso or cheese dip wasamazing, we could tell they used quality cheese, and it was melted to perfection, not to mention that the portion was huge. Oneof my favourite dishes was the empanada, which was nice and soft on the inside and a bit crispy on the outside, it resembled thelocal street food you can buy only when in South America. For the mains we had the Pollo Tirado, Chicken Taco – the chickenwas juicy and not overcooked at all, and the vegetables complimented the dish perfectly. Horrible service waited also 2 1/2 hours for soup and salad...family party of 5 Never ate together. Then the waitress said she... had a " miscommunication with the kitchen...2 out of 5 waited that long for soup. Manger apologized and said he take it off thebill....never did. My grandson tuna was uncutable!....the piano was a nice touch but at his break they blasted ClubMusic.
