Just awesome, I can honestly say I wasn't expecting such high quality mexican food in small town Ontario and Smoky Cactus just... blew up an misconceptions I might of had. I had dinner there Saturday night and it was so good I had to go back for SundayBrunch. The smoked pineapple salsa was probably the best salsa I've ever had. Unreal Mexican restaurant! We had such good food and even better service. Sam our server was exceptional; polite, attentive, and... makes the best Paloma we?ve ever had (even better than the owners (sorry!!!) our whole table ordered a Paloma cocktail made bySam and they were so delicious that we ordered a second which were made by the owner and there was just no comparison- stilldelicious but just nowhere near as good). We got the tacos and burrito and everything was so flavourful - highly recommendtrying the smoked beet taco! We are so happy to have finally tried this restaurant and will be back- A LOT. Read more
Went for breakfast this morning with my wife and was very surprised. The atmosphere was amazing. The service was top notch. The... food was delicious. I couldn?t even finish my meal because the portions were so big! Really felt like two meals for the price ofone. We?re excited to come back for dinner next time we?re in the area. AMAZING FOOD, SERVICE, AND ATMOSPHERE! This is one of the best dining experiences you will have. The food was sublime, I was... full and kept eating because the food was too good and i couldn't stop. The smoke flavour really comes through but it is notoverpowering. I found myself enjoying vegetable I normally won't touch because of how well they were prepared. The service wassuper friendly and attentive, which I found amazing given the fact it was so busy while we were there and yet the servers wereable to cater to everyone with big smiles on their faces. I loved the take out containers it was served in as well because Ialways feel bad asking for take out trays after a meal out, so instead of having to struggle shovelling all the leftovers into acontainer I just closed the container it came in. so much easier! THE VIBESSSSSSSSSSSS were amazing. We walked by a few timeson our way to the beach and we just noticed the atmosphere from a distance, you could see people basically just hanging out andbeing social, people waiting for their orders or a table were just having a drink and talking and you could tell they werestrangers too. Preface. Mediocre food, great service The food. We ordered the Mexican poutine, brisket and pulled pork tacos. The poutine was... excellent, it surpassed all my expectations. It was a little spicy, well seasoned and a generous portion. It was definitely ahighlight. As for the tacos, they fell flat. I was hoping for an authentic experience but left disappointed. The pick de Galloand the tacos were bland. The pulled pork bbq sauce did not pair well with the rest of the ingredients. The margaritas wereexcellent, definitely a must. The service. The workers were all kind, but everything is served in takeout containers? This wasa first for me, eating out of a carton at a sit down restaurant. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're passing through South Hampton! The food was great. The service was great. The elote... is a must try! Probably the best elote I've had. Also, the brisket burrito was mighty tasty! The atmosphere was just right andthey were able to accommodate our 9 person party last minute. Read more
