This place is fantastic! We arrived with a party of between 13-15 people on a Saturday night with no prior reservations, less... than an hour before close. Fully expecting to be turned away (and rightfully so), they agreed to seat us outside among thedifferent tables and couches. The food was delicious and prompt, and the drinks were impeccable. Even better though was theservice, and Wanda, our server, and the various runners who brought out our meals, were so friendly and thorough. Willabsolutely be back! Read more

They have a very cool menu and the drinks are some of the best in the area. I've never had anything I didn't like here. They... are very busy and the inside dining is very small so there can be a wait. I find the back dining area to be lacking. There aretwo high tops on one side and the other is like 3 tiny tables spread out. The vibe is lacking back there and needs a bit ofattention. If you can sit outside or in the bar area thats where I would head. Read more

Most delicious food and drinks we have had in Southern Pines so far! I tried the honeydew mojito first which was delightful!... Hubby had the classic old fashioned! Yum! We tried a few appetizers, the queso, the duck wings and the dumplings. The food wasphenomenal and our bartender/mixologist, Cole has excellent skills and a great personality! The bone marrow tacos were absolutely legit. I am definitely coming back on my next trip into town.

The drinks and apps (pho dumplings and Brussel sprouts) were good. We received our food in shifts- all of the food didn?t come... out at once. The main courses were kind of underwhelming. We had both types of bao buns (The pork belly seemed tired and couldhave used a sauce.), the marrow tacos (They were so oily that they dripped all over the table and us.), and the truffle fries(Probably the best ?main? that came out, but the dipping sauce is mayo, so it?s very heavy.). While we were eating our trufflefries, a waitress (not ours) asked if she could clear some plates out of the way. Instead of taking the dirty empty plates, shetook our half eaten truffle fries off our table and left. It was odd? Not worth a complaint, but definitely meant we wouldn?t bewaiting to get another drink. I wouldn?t say that it was a bad experience, but it wasn?t exactly what we had expected. The vibe of this place is pretty cool. Sadly our burgers were half cooked and were more then just ?rare?. When we showed... staff she said something along the lines of ?well this is the end of the night?. Not acceptable. Showing the cook at thevery least would have been the right thing to do. The Leadmine Whiskey Bar and Kitchen was a surprising find in Pinehurst, NC. This place was packed and it is common to see a 40+... minute wait. The reason is because the food and drinks are out of this world. From crispy Brussel sprouts with spicy mustardand succulent duck wings to a Nashville hot chicken bao bun; the menu is diverse, fresh, and bursting with flavor. I personallyenjoyed the Ribeye Bulgogi Bibibap. The drink menu was vast and the speciality cocktails were made with a lot of care andtechnique. If you are in Pinehurst, definitely check this place out. But get there early because Leadmine is popular. Read more
