Good service, nice ambience. However, don?t get the fish & chips (for me, it was worst ever) or the crab empanada (my wife was... not impressed). Pity, I had heard great things about Walcott?s but was disappointed, this was my first visit. Read more

The food was really good, a truly excellent French onion soup. My only beef was the confusing menu construct with appetizers and... main courses all mixed together. Had to look for the * which differentiated between the two. Read more

My daughter & husband loves the lobster roll. We have the oysters as an appetizer. Go ahead and order the soup in the bowl... instead of cup. Why you ask...the cost difference is $2 and yes you can eat all the soup as well as your entrée. I didn't givethem 5 because of lack of staff and sometimes slow service. Read more

Absolutely delightful dinner experience. They were great about writing down our reservation request as there had been a storm... that knocked out everyone's internet in the area that afternoon. The food, drinks and service were all top notch. I cannot waitto eat here again! Read more

Enjoyed our experience! Not for younger children and it is a very small dinning room but very friendly, helpful with the menu,... and pretty good food. We went for lunch so if you plan to go to dinner I would suggest reservations. There are smaller plateoptions (appetizers) that you would want to get a couple of to share if you aren't interested in your own private dish or theyhave full meals which are good also. We enjoyed the special and a small appetizer. Will be back but more for a date environment. Read more

My wife and I had an early dinner elsewhere and were taking in all the downtown Christmas decorations. We saw the lights were... still on and stepped in to this quaint restaurant/bar. We were immediately greeted and seated per our request. We could smellthe most wonderful lobster bisque behind us but decided on homemade cheesecake with a blueberry compote. It was the perfectending we had been looking for. We would highly recommend the dessert here. Read more

Man, pre-COVID I would have given kudos so with the world as it is right now, my hats off to Wolcott's and specifically the... general manger Matt. My wife and I lived in the area until two years ago and just recently moved within driving distance of thearea. Occasionally we have reason to visit the area and on our most recent trip we decided to go out for a drink indowntown Our first stop was at a location that was borderline rude (apparently we weren't hipster enough). Having never triedWolcotts next door when we lived in the area we decided to give it a try, seeing several parties still dining inside at the 2100hour. Immediately upon entering the establishment Matt let us know that they had stopped serving and he was very sorry. Wefigured 0 for 2, thanked him, and turned and started to leave. Moments after leaving Matt dashes outside to let us know ofanother establishment we could try. He became aware we were only looking for a drink and replied, 'that's all, shoot, you cancome back in and I'll take care of you'. They were wrapping up inside for the evening but didn't hesitate to behospitable. The drinks were exquisite, the serve unparalleled. We cannot wait to go back and sample the food. Thank you Matt! Southern Pines best restaurant. Their red wine steak and salmon were nothing short of amazing. The location is small, there... really isn't a greeting location and the server's can be hit or miss, but their food is always special and makes up for anyperceived shortcoming. Read more
