I love the service great sandwiches they are the best place to go for corn beef and more .

I went to bread basket about 10 years ago, and it was great. It was the first alternative to Lou's deli that I would be happy... about. So we went there today and we ordered two sandwiches and we tried their corned beef egg rolls for some reason. I orderedthe bread basket sandwiches which is like a dinty Moore but with Swiss cheese. I ordered the original size sandwiches and I wasa little disappointed. The last time I went here the sandwich was stacked so high I could barely bite it, and the meat was verytender and thinly sliced. There was a lot of flavor from the Russian dressing and the tomatoes. This time I could barely tastethe sauce the meat was a little salty and a little bit more tough and the bread was tasted old and stale. It was fallingapart. The corned beef egg rolls were actually good crunchy on the outside the meat was tender and not too salty. It's amazingyou go there mainly for corned beef sandwiches but then the egg rolls are better. Anyway someone actually told me that BreadBasket went downhill over the last few years but I didn't believe it so I wanted to verify for myself and guess what they werecorrect. I wouldn't count them out as they have I believe a locations around Detroit area so maybe they might take customerservice and get back on track or maybe the next time I visit Detroit they'll be gone like many other businesses who don't careabout customers or their reputation. I ordered a Reuben sandwich with hot mustard. The corned beef was fatty, there was half a drop of mustard on it, and I ordered... on an onion roll which came upside down. Who puts a sandwich on a bun backwards? The fries were limp and undercooked and justlukewarm. Very disappointing and certainly not worth the money I paid. There are better places around. Read more

Really good egg salad sandwich. Mushroom barley soup was a bit on the salty side. Coleslaw was meh.

All the food was hot and fresh. The corned beef egg rolls are always my favorite. The sandwiches are always amazing. Yes it's... pricy but it's worth it. The Only down side... Customer service is lacking, the girl behind the counter was just standing aroundand didn't seem to care when the food needed to be bagged. That will not stop me from coming back for the food. They must have changed owners because this went from being my favorite Bread Basket to never going again. I always get the same... 17 1/2 9z on onion roll. Got home and it looked like a 6z. Called and they said to bring it back with the receipt. I get thereand the "cook" said it was a 9z so I showed them the picture of what I always get and how it looks. He again said well this is a9z so I asked him will if what they gave me was a 9z then what does a 6z look like? He said "I don't know and give her her moneyback if she don't like it" with a nasty attitude so I most definitely took my money back because I don't argue with people aboutmy food .The "cook" attitude was just horrible and defensive. The 3 other staff just stood there. At $15+ per sandwiche, I wantmy money's worth. I won't be back. Now you tell me if both of these sandwiches look like 9z. Read more

Absolutely awful ! ! ! Corned beef was absolutely tasteless, dry and was a pile of bits. Only a few slices.....And I ordered... extra meat.....Onion roll was dry too. What happened to this place, So disappointing, used to be great ? ? ? Read more
