Clean, well lit, decent Coney Island type food. Hours can vary so call first.
The food and the waitstaff are great, but I?ve really grown tired of their current counter-service type of model which requires... placing your order at the counter and then being served on paper plates and plastic utensils. I?d far prefer to have my ordertaken in the traditional manner and to have real plates, real silverware, and so on. This would require National to actuallyhave enough waitstaff and dishwashers, which might not be feasible for them at this time but that?s what I want out of arestaurant. I went to National Coney. When my order was brought to me, I was handed a Coke. I ordered Sprite. I was told ?oh well that?s... what is on your ticket?. I was then asked if I wanted to give her a tip AFTER that response. Maybe if you had fixed my order,like I asked. Then the credit card machine didn?t work. And once I got home I had a dry gyro sandwich with no sauce and I hadless than 1/2 a box of fries. Maybe if you are going to be stingy with fries, have different size boxes like McDonald?s! Read more
It was ok nothing special. The weird part was you stand and order at a counter top and pay before you sit down. Then they... bring you the food. The food was not the greatest. The burger was a little dry. Not impressed at all. I think it seems likeit is set up for take out mostly. I hot a burger onion rings a cup of chili my husband got a Hani and cheese sticks. Cheesesticks were a little under cooked for me. Like I said ok nothing special. Just a quick bite to eat. Read more
Have had one bad experience, but they have improved. Ordered a dish and stated no onions only to get an item lathered in them. ... My most recent order Nov 18,2020. Was a major improvement. Keep up the he good work. Read more
Not a good place for lunch. From the time I sat down and got my food, it took 25 minutes. I got the meat lover omelet that was... good. I go to the Royal Oak National and they get you in and out quickly. I work in Southfield so I thought I would try it. Theinside is really modern looking. I will give it another chance. Bathroom soap dispenser pumps out very little soap whereas I spent more time washing my hands than eating. Nice place though,... friendly staff & good food. Read more
