The service here is not the quickest and I wasn?t greeted either time I have been here. The guy who did end up helping me was... super friendly though when he came out from the back to assist - would love to have him every time. Food was good. Deducting astar because the first time I was here the girl at the register tried to keep my change (the coins) and not give me all of mymoney back? super awkward. I?m not typically one to leave reviews only read them but I felt today was the exception . When I walked in I was greeted with a... hello and quickly the customer service declined. I had never been to Poke Poke so I was trying to build my bowl. The young ladydidn?t explain anything but instead pointed to stickers on the glass and was very short with me. I got a white rice bowl withshrimp, salmon, onions, corn , mango, and spicy mayo plus a drink. I checked out and paid about $17 . I sat and tried my foodand it had no flavor at all. Not a drop of flavor. I went to get more spicy mayo to see if that would help (i had to pay 84cents) and the mayo had no flavor just was spicy. I went to ask for a refund they declined and said i could pick a differentbowl or get different sauce i didn?t want either. I will not be returning or recommending to anyone. The food was delicious!! The staff was amazing and let me try nearly everything being it was my first time, she even gave... excellent suggestions. I opted in for the Large bowl with Crab, Marinated Salmon and Spicy Tuna mixed with white and brown rice.My large bowl fed 2 people. Healthy good tasting inexpensive food, hard to beat!! Interesting.... I am not sure what my final thoughts are on this place. The restaurant was impeccably clean which was a plus... and the dish looked appetizing. The food itself i would give a B- or C+. It was okay it just tasted like it was missingsomething.. the rice was quite bland. I added soy sauce when i got home which helped the taste a little bit. maybe if I returnagain i will build my own bowl. Read more
