Got there at 11:45 for lunch, two sections closed, and the main dining area was half empty. We were told it would be a... 25-minute wait to be seated. 2 waitresses, one cook, and a manager walking around aimlessly. After getting a table it tookanother 30 minutes to have our order taken and 45 minutes from that to get our food. We watched 4 tables get up and leavebecause they weren't being waited on, we should have taken the hint. A quick lunch turned into a 2.5-hour event. This placeshould close. Read more
I like the tasty meals they offer here, those all-day-breakfast options are really great. I had to wait a little bit to be... seated, but not too long to complain about it; once you order the food is served quick. Personnel was really nice and polite. Stopped in for a late night snack. Friendly staff at first bit pray they come back to check up on you. Had to wave an employee... down to find our waitress, to get a refill. Not even after getting the refill were we asked if everything was OK or if we neededanything else. Desert menu looked good but we lost our appetite after waiting for so long. I ordered the t-bone steak, mixed yellow squash and zucchini, and red skinned mashed potatoes. I asked for my steak to be extra... rare and my guest ask for his steak to be medium. Both sticks arrived extremely well done, difficult to cut. The steaks werepretty much flavorless. Lacked any seasoning and we're wet as if they were steamed not grilled or pan fried. Despite they'renot being another person in there - we were the only diners at the time which was 4:30 on a Thursday afternoon, service wasincredibly slow. Upon arrival there was no one standing at the front and we had to wander around and actually go into thekitchen to find someone to seat us. The waiter was personable which I do appreciate. One other guest arrived during my timethere so the waiter had two tables to tend to which resulted in a total of three guests and not once were we checked in onduring the time we were eating and when we were ready to leave we had to hunt him down to request the check. Friendly, accurate hospitality from everyone. They were extremely busy and we had no issues with our order. Food was perfect... and they offered a huge free breakfast to my husband on veterans day. It is much bigger than the one we frequent in New London(which is our favorite). This Denny's had oversized booths for large families and a place to sit and receive service at thecounter if you don't want a table.
