Atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but the staff and food are really good.
We went and visited Sushi Sam this past Thursday because of the number of positive reviews we had been seeing on Yelp. We... arrived a little later in the evening and the restaurant was still hopping, a testimony of it's strong following in theSouthlake area. We ordered four different Sushi rolls. The sushi was good and or course fresh, We also ordered the CrabRangoon as an appetizer. I was impressed with the Crab Rangoon, the size of the portion was very generous. They are taking anegg roll wrapper and turning it into a wonton filled with crab meat and cream cheese. The sushi rice was underseasoned in myopinion, leaving the sushi a little underflavored overall. The staff were very attentive during our meal and checked on usmultiple times to make sure that we had everything we needed and to refill drinks. Our one problems is that we were seated at asmall table for two each roll came out on a separate large plate. We really did not have enough room to hardly fit all theplates on the table making me a little claustrophobic during the meal. Read more
Longest wait time ever...I really expected great service and food by looking at 5 star reviews. I would not go back to eat... again. I can't wait 30 mins for 2 rolls nah. Read more
I tried the Cajun roll, it was outstanding. The Chef was nice enough to give me a free sample of something he made, it was also... delicious. Service was spot on, from front end all the way to management. I would highly recommend this place, and I will beback again. Read more
