Bland doesn't even begin to cut it. The oysters were meh' at best. The tomahawk (a $110 supplement) was disgraceful. Never have... I had more flavorless piece of meat. Tough, fatty, no sear etc. They have no sauces or salt and pepper, unacceptable for asupposedly "tier 1" restaurant. I'd rather have gone to Outback and I'd have $600 in my pocket. Read more

THE PAST: Let me first start off with the facts. I originally came here when the original owner/head chef ran the restaurant.... This was quite a few years ago now. Back then the food was exquisite. Even their food truck was unbelievable. I'm not evenkidding. It was breathtakingly good, even their food truck. The food truck burgers and chocolate chip cookies were the best I'vehad in New York. Let's just say I was a regular. My kids even loved it. THE PRESENT: I went here with a date for my birthdaydinner early august 2022. We had a reservation and were sat right away. The tables were very close together and rather small soit was a rather cramped experience. We were basically sitting with 2 other couples. No privacy between conversations atall. The food was was downright disappointing. Even the oysters didn't taste fresh, which is really sad for being on the Northfork. My steak was awful. My date didn't enjoy her meal either. The best part of the meal was the bread which her and I bothagreed on. The meal ended up being over $250 and neither of us drink alcohol. My birthday dinner was honestly ruined by thequality of the food. The service was fine but the quality of the food was just disappointing. There are much better places toeat on the North Fork. Even in southold. I would not recommend. Read more

We spent the day in Orient and made reservations for this restaurant based on its place on many top 10 lists for LI... restaurants. Reservations required a credit card, but were easy to make. Service was incredible! Super attentive but notoverly disruptive. Waiter was knowledgeable of the menu and the farm to table concept. Even mentioning that the 2 mile salad wasreally a 1/4 salad since KK's was right down the road. Food was incredible. We were a party of 3 and all ate different coursesfrom the 4 course prefix. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Cannot say enough good things. Met and exceededexpectations and we would definitely come back! Read more

What a let down. What happened to the NF Table? Once upon a time, under previous owners, this place was a delight. We were so... looking forward to our visit, but under the new ownership and chef it was very close to a total disappointment. First, seatedoutside, it was a penned-in, noisy affair. We had to shout to hear each other over the large, drunken, rowdy, kids screaming andrunning wild birthday party of 20 people. Eight of them were unsupervised at a kids' table. The adults were shouting-drunk at aseparate table. Then, I was struck in the head by an oozing, red juicy buckeye that fell from the tree over our table. Weordered drinks and champagne to start, described by the sommelier as having hints of "brioche and acetic minerals". (What??)Then we had a first course. The tuna tartare was good, clean and fresh, but the "North Fork egg on a mushroom risotto" wasterrible --burned to ash, dried out, hard cooked fried egg with no taste or hint of mushrooms. The risotto was a complete burneddisaster - the worst thing I've EVER eaten - no exageration. We sent it back only to hear back from the waitress that the chefand she agreed it wasn't right "but the owner likes it that way." I substituted the salad. With 4 items on the first coursemenu, one would think they could cook them properly. Then we had the second course, which was tasty but very fatty and NOvegetables. The pork (1 entree) and duck (2 entrees) were tasty but much of them was just fat. As for dessert, the brokenchocolate cake was great. The chocolate & vanilla ice cream was terrific; the berry sorbet was tasty but laced with so manyseeds I'm still picking them out of my teeth despite having brushed and flossed thoroughly. Sigh.... VERY RACIST business. Do not eat or stay here. Was treated extremely poorly and actually had multiple very racist and completely... unacceptable comments made to me by staff. Their service and racist attitude was unacceptable. I have never been treated sopoorly by a business before. I was appalled by how disrespectful they were consistently throughout my meal for no reason otherthan the color of my skin. Our whole party was well dressed in jackets/dresses and was extremely respectful throughout the mealuntil we reached a point where I couldn’t help but calmly ask our waitress why I was being treated differently than otherguests because of my skin she then proceeded to make multiple racist jokes and tell me I should exit through the back of therestaurant because of my race the manager then came over a few moments later and insulted us one more time for good measure. Thefood was mediocre at best. Definitely not worth supporting a business that treats people like this. We are ALL human beings. Read more

All hits. No misses. My husband and I came here tonight for our date night during our mini vacay with our family. The ... recommendation did not disappoint. We sat at the bar where you have access to the full menu and we had the loveliest time eatingand drinking and speaking to our bartender, Jorge. He told us he has only been with NF table and Inn for 2 weeks but the way heoperated and interacted with staff, you would have thought he had been there for over a year. While chatting with us, he wasexpertly multi-tasking making the NF Table and Inn signature drinks (which are SO delicious). Every course of our tasting menuwas delivered with perfection and executed perfectly. The food, the service, the interaction were all impressive and we hope tocome back soon when we are in the neighborhood. Thank you for this great night! Read more

I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed in the past. My favorite place ever. The coziest, warmest, most beautifully minimal yet... rustic interior with the best wines and food. Even the drive there during sunset is fantastic. I always feel so good walkinginto the restaurant. Can’t wait to go back. My fav are the clams and the best bread ever. The duck is also amazing.Perfection! Read more

Wow. Wow. Wow. That's all I can say about our experience at North Fork Table. Because "experience" is exactly what it was. We... did the chef's tasting menu and have zero regrets. Each course was outstanding and thoughtfully constructed. The balance offlavors and textures was unlike anything we've had before, and it was elevated by the local flavors of the North Fork. The winepairings were perfect as well, complementing each dish. The best part was despite how amazing the food and service is, itdoesn't feel stuffy. You feel like you're in the living room of a close friend who happens to be an amazing chef. We can't waitto bring friends here to wow them. Read more
