Excellent Italian food, homey atmosphere, most of the patrons knew the workers. It was very nice. We started off with dipping... some bread into the garlic and oil. It was wonderful, like being back up north. I had the Veal Parmigiano and my wife had theChicken Francese. Both were wonderful and the service was great. Heard great things about the food so decided to try it last night. 2 couples, 2 lasagnas, which were cold in the middle and had... to be reheated, one ravioli which was cool to the touch, but not sent back and a chicken picata which was hot and better thanthe others. The food was good, no complaints there…. However, the service was terrible. There was one server for the whole half of the... restaurant. She was very nice but definitely overwhelmed. The wait for the food was ridiculous. The hostess seemed to have anattitude as well. Not great for business. It felt as if we were a bother and judged to walk into this restaurant. All I can sayis it’s good food but be prepared to wait awhile to get it. Read more

First visit while staying with friends! Absolutely delicious! I had the veal special with Angel hair pasta with a herb butter... sauce!! And the bread pudding for dessert with bourbon, nuts and caramel sauce!! I have already requested a return visit beforeI return home!! Excellent food!! Read more

We love to try new restaurants when they open in the Southport area but Bella Cucina is like coming home. Food is always... excellent, prices are very fair and portions are generous. I usually order from the Voglio menu which lists items in smallerportions. Still hard to finish! Last night I tried the Shrimp Alfredo instead of my usual Eggplant Parmesan. It was delicious!The white sauce was light and flavorful and didn’t overwhelm the angel hair pasta I chose. Shrimp were perfectly cooked. Winepours are generous here and I had the house Chianti this trip. Yum. DH had the spaghetti and meatballs and we split a portion ofthe warm house bread, only finishing half. Small side salads are only $3 and the homemade dressings are outstanding. Shout outto Marcus our awesome server! So personable, knowledgeable, and professional.
