We enjoyed our meal. Most had fish and chips. The fried fish was a little overcooked... but still delicious. Another person... had the crab cake sandwich and enjoyed it. Staff was friendly. Would definitely eat there again. Read more
Not the greatest food. The grouper was good and so was the baked potato. My side salad had some bad pieces of lettuce in it and... they put whole baby carrots in it which I've never had a side salad like that. My husband's Cole slaw was the worst I've evertasted. It almost tasted like it was spoiled. The grouper meal is not worth $24.95! The place has a weird smell to it when youwalk in and my husband used the bathroom and ge said it smelled so disgusting. But on the other hand the bar tender amber wassuper nice and attentive for being her first day working on her own. Was never even acknowledged or welcomed when I walked up to the bar?. Just stood at the bar for a little while and watched as... the white bartender served everyone else but me (only black person in the bar, guess that should have been my first sign to GETOUT) and as I turned to walk out the door, I turned my head & I caught her rolling her eyes at my back as she again stood at thetap pouring another beer for someone else ... RACIST much?? SMH. You never know who's walking into your establishment. Iprobably would have tipped more than the folks sitting at the bar combined (former bartender of 12 years) Good luck. This was such a fun place with great food ! Owner is hysterical and loves to commune with his customers
So, we were just visiting for vacation. Wanted at least one night to eat out somewhere local, and we struck out with other... places that were closed, had a 2 hour wait, or were reservation only. We were calling down the list on Google maps. And wespotted their menu and they had room for us, so we went! We didn't realize the place was a local bar, and some rude patronscomplained about our group being there, but the staff was wonderful and kind all around. I felt bad for the kitchen because Idon't think they were prepared for a group of 7 people ordering meals, but kudos to whoever was back there, man. The food wasphenomenal. The breading on the onion rings was hella good, and the fried grouper was 1. A hefty portion, and 2. Damn delicious.The voodoo shrimp were also super good! This place was a hidden gem. Sorry if we were overwhelming, but this was honestly oneof the best places we ate from all week! Read more
I've been here twice. The first time the food was great and we really liked it. The second time I ordered shrimp scampi. The... menu description said, "Large butterflied shrimp, sauteed with butter, garlic and white wine." What I got was very small (notbutterflied shrimp) with pasta. When I told the waitress that the description didn't match what I got she seemed unconcernedbut went to ask the cook. The cook said "this is how we always make it". No one offered at that point to replace it, so Ijust decided to eat it. However, the shrimp were way overcooked, like hard rubber. So I called the waitress over again andtold her I wasn't going to eat it, and at that point, she offered to get me something else. The replacement sandwich was fine,and I would go back. This establishment was very clean and the service was excellent. I went there with my sister and brother in law and we enjoyed... ourselves. There crab dip was awesome as was the grouper sandwich I had. The bartender made sure we were well taken care of andshe did a great job for being the only one serving the 20 people who were there drinking and eating as well. I will definitelybe going back soon!
