Wasn't the worst sushi I have had, but wasn't the best. I like experimenting with different places and chose this place because... they have noodles and that's all my kid will eat when we go out to sushi. The crab Rangoon, and muscles were both really good, but the rest I felt had plenty of room for improvement. Not saying I wouldn't ever go back again, but it wouldn't be my firstchoice. The people who worked there were all really nice. Read more

The service here was very good. Very attentive and friendly staff who made sure my drink always stayed full and were easy to... find if I needed something. The food wasn't all that great unfortunately, I think they may have had less then ideal batches ofshrimp and ahi tuna. The rice was also very strongly flavored with rice vinegar, which I actually like but I know some peopledon't. I'd absolutely give them another shot though, just based on the service. Read more

I lobe this place. Service and food are consistent. Very yummy. Flying dragon roll is great. Also any Nigiri is very good.

The only reason I'm giving them a 4 is because they did not have mountain dew! Other than that, we got great service, good... sushi rolls. Read more

Stopped by to try their AYCE. Sushi itself is clean tasting and presentable. Downfall would be the excessive amount of rice to... fish ratio. In comparison to other AYCE sushi spots it definitely falls short in that rice to fish ratio portion. Service wasgreat, checked back often, and refilled drinks as needed. Price point is a few dollars higher for lunch than other spots Easyto find, it's close to Off Broadway shoes, clear big sign, ample parking Ambience is dark even during the day, they almostblack out the windows, it would've been nice to have natural lighting since it was really nice today. Food: mainly tried nigiriand one specialty roll - pacific roll. I really liked the pacific roll, nice balance of rice to fish and flavorful, although Icould go without the green sauce, it was a very delicious roll, not too heavy. Fish quality is decent and shrimp is bigger thanother AYCE places. Mussels were made very simple, similar to other sushi spots in the area, see photo. Mussels are bigger thanaverage sushi spots too The crab mix for the upside down shrimp wasn't to my liking, the imitation crab tasted funny, so wedidn't eat it. Overall, too much rice so I finished fast and didn't get to try anything else besides what is in the photo.Unfortunately I can't give a review for the other items. I don't think I would come back due to the rice ratio since there's alot of competing AYCE spots who give a better balance. Read more

Excited to find another Japanese place that served other items other than sushi and rolls. Went on a Monday night and it was... dead. Just the wife and myself. Ten minutes later another couple wandered in. Being that there were only four people in thewhole place, the service was excellent. The interior was clean and very neat. I was surprised to see a regulation sushi barwith the fish on display. No chef that I could see but I had my back to it. I kept stealing glances. Other than that, typicalmall restaurant. We ordered plate dinners rather than sushi and rolls. Although we did order a couple of old standard rolls forcomparison purposes. I had hibachi chicken with steamed rice. The wife had chicken teppanyaki. The first thing we noticed wasthe slight vinegar flavoring in the standard rolls. Not as much as a true sushi rice but noticable. I found that to be enjoyableas every other Japanese sushi place we have visited in the Reno area uses plain rice. The plate dinners were good but thechicken on both plates was way over cooked. Very dry. Without the chicken, they were very much in line with the memory of theold Japanese family owned restaurants in Japan Town (San Jose, CA). Prices were reasonable. We will return. Read more

We love our sushi and often get in a rut by only going to the same places but we ventured out to try Kissho and LOVED IT! The... food was fresh and amazing. Everything we tried was honesty so great. The service was also very attentive. Their menu could usesome tlc either with more photos or better descriptions, especially for newer-to-sushi folks but other than that, A+. We'll beback. Read more
