This place is really good. The food was delicious. There isn't a kids menu but they give you the option of getting a half plate... or splitting the dish between two people. OK if you are looking for the most crisp tasty portions of calamari and great sauce...this is it! But then came... dinner...lobster with shrimp...I can't even tell you how delicious...oh my goodness. My husband had manicotti and that was goodtoo...then had a canoli that was fresh stuffed..the cook walked around making sure all was wonderful.. come on down for a tripto Italy!! Read more

The dining experience was truly delightful. The decor is a bit dated but not to the point of being looking old. The wait staff... was excellent and the food first rate. Pietro's is on the second floor of the building and the entrance is almost a literalhole in the wall. You have to pass in between a bar and a seating area of another restaurant to get to the stairs or elevator toPietro's. Once upstairs you will find Italian food paradise. Our waiter was polite and very knowledgeable about the offeringsof food and beverage. Once we ordered, his timing of the meal was on point. Everything flowed and we never seemed rushed norignored. Beverage glasses stayed full and plates were delivered or taken away promptly. The wife ordered a caprese salad, soupof the day and chicken marsala. The caprese salad was wonderful. The tomatoes were ripe and the cheese fresh. The wife reallyliked the balsamic reduction dribble on the tomato/cheese. The soup was a simple vegetable offering in a light broth. Simple yetdelicious. The chicken marsala brought a smile to the wife's face. Absolutely one of the best she has had. I had an eggplantparmesan. I judge all Italian restaurants by this dish. I was introduced to this dish as a child and look for certain things.The eggplant is sliced to the size of a small steak and breaded. Suateed then covered in marinara and mozzarella. Under thebroiler to melt the cheese and served with a pasta. Pietro's hit a home run. So far one of the two best Italian restaurants wehad tried in the Reno area. Read more
Went with friends for a Friday night early dinner , got there about the same time their "lounge singers" fired up, great... entertainment. Liked the menu but ordered the special , it was a perfectly done steak, with pasta, vegetables, and a salad. Hada bottle of wine off their reasonable wine list. Everything reminded me of Italian dining in the 1960's with my parents. Greatfood, great service, classic Sinatra etc songs...a keeper! Read more
