The meal started off a little rough - there were some opportunities to tighten up 'steps of service' (appetizer took 18 minutes... to come, and then food was out two minutes later, my fiance didn't get his soup until right before our food arrived and wasflippantly told to "specify" that he wanted it to come before the entree - what??) My family and I live locally and always love the food. However, the last time we dined in, we had a horrible experience to say... the least. Our server was extremely inattentive. We never got our silverware, and at one point our server dropped our napkins onthe floor and then decided to pick them up from the dirty floor and put them on the table next to our food, like nothing hadhappened. I am not sure if the guy was new, but anyone who wants to be a server should know the basics of customer service. Ourserver had no basic skills or either communication or competence. Man the food here was pretty good. Would have liked to see more cheesy sauce for the mac and cheese as it was quite dry. Drinks... were plentiful and the server was great. Would definitely recommend this place. Great food, good atmosphere, and really a goodexperience. If you're debating going here and read this, go ahead and trust me that you should visit. Read more
Our server was very nice. But this caprese appetizer was $12 and was a bowl of marinara with a couple raw tomatoes and a couple... slices of moz. This has no business being on a menu anywhere. Read more
We went here to celebrate my sister's birthday. I came in about 30 minutes before the party was to start because they looked so... busy, but the manager got us a table for 10 within 5 minutes, so awesome! Very nice setting, relaxing and good vibes. Our waiterhad a really rough time keeping track of our orders, our drinks etc... and because the drink order got so messed up every one ofus was cut off alcohol by 9:30pm, by the manager and it ultimately ruined our night.. It was my sisters bday, she should havebeen able to drink more for sure. We understand their side but on our side it sucked. We weren't being too loud or roudy, justhaving fun like a group of 10 gals does. I may return, I may not. But the food was delicious and it was the best Hawaiian pizzaI have ever had! Read more
Best place for pub food and drinks in Sparta! Large selection of drinks including their own beers brewed on site as well a fully... stocked bar. Nice amount of food options including pizza and a build your own Mac and cheese which was delicious! I've been inbefore and had the loaded fries which were also made well and tasted great. Read more
Excellent local bar and restaurant in the heart of downtown Sparta, MI. This restaurant offers classic American fare,... hamburgers, sandwiches and even pizza. They have several homemade brews available, as well as other Michigan beers and otherdomestic brands. The atmosphere is upbeat and the servers are friendly. I saw people of all ages, including young children,during my visit. Outdoor seating is available in the back, as well. Read more
