The food is great. The prices are reasonable. BUT the service is awful. We ordered 2 rolls as appetizers. They didn't come out... but our entrées did. So we told her we didn't get the rolls yet. Well they took the food back, gave us the rolls then gave usthe entrées cold. They rush you from start to finish. I have been there twice now and it has happened both times. There is noreason to rush customers. You close at 10pm... if you want to go home earlier, change your hours. Do yourself a favor.. Orderthe food as take out. Read more
Good sushi for a rural area. Clean, fast and good service. Mostly ate vegetarian rolls and dishes.
Highly recommend love the sushi. Their lunch specials are our favorite. 2-3 rolls, soup, and salad under 20 bucks! Can't get... better than that. We've eaten in and done take out. The restaurant is also very accommodating to my gluten free restrictions!Just ask for their gluten free soy sauce. Read more
I ate here for the first time recently and ordered tuna, salmon and yellowtail rolls. The tuna was only average quality,... probably less than average. It was lean except for some stringy fat, which was not great. The yellowtail was also not a greatcut and had inconsistent color throughout because of the use of lower quality fish. Despite this, the flavor was good. Thesalmon, on the other hand, was good. The fat ratio was very good and was very rich. It's what I expect of a good salmon roll.The clear soup was great. Their sushi is disgusting. The special rolls aren?t even using real fish. Look at the food die they are adding to a minced... spicy tuna?!!! Wth is that ? Is that rice crispies or rice pate in that special spicy roll. It tasted gross and the real fishhad some weird white ?mayo? milk mix that was also nasty. Do not eat sushi in Sparta - it?s a joke. Sushi ya is always excellent. The owner and his wife are really sweet and they still remember us even after we moved a year ago.... Will always go back. I love the sushi salad and the tuna dumplings! My fiance always gets spicy tuna roll. Gotta finish withtamago and mochi! Awesome awesome place. Gets busy on the weekends. Read more
