My family absolutely love going here, especially the kids! It's my son's #1 place to eat for special occasions. High tea is the... best! Read more

Cute little place with a wonderful display of teapots around the dining area. We enjoyed the chicken pot pie with mashed... potatoes and vegetables. Everything came out fairly quickly piping hot. Only complaint is that the pot pie could have used alittle more seasoning. Our waitress was polite and efficient. Will definitely return :) Read more

Not as good as the first time we came. The potato leek soup was good. My wife's sandwich was made with processed cheese slices!

Love this quaint little restaurant with classic home cooked food. The flavours were fantastic. The Sheppard's pie was amazing... as was my steak pie. The wine could use a little help. Read more

Cute inside, but food is horrible. This place should stop serving food completely. Mashed potatoes were chunky, bangers were... disgusting. Had better home-made bangers and mash. Chicken noodle soup was awful Extremely bland. Don't actually have clottedcream. Tried to say it's banned in Canada. Untrue as you can purchase clotted cream once again in Canada. You would think aplace that serves "British" food would know this. Extremely disappointed. Will never be back. Read more

We had Afternoon Tea a couple weeks ago in Sparta and it was very disappointing. We emailed them to tell them but never got a... reply so we are posting here so other's are aware that this is NOT the place to go for Afternoon Tea. The tea room itself ischarming and lovely inside and outside. We LOVED the tea pot displays the most of anything. But that's where the "lovely"ends. We had Afternoon Tea for 3 people ($26.50 each person). Presentation was on a pizza platter for the savouries, all werelike a low quality buffet style. The scones were really bad. They were dry and hard. We disliked how they were already split andhad butter, a spot of strawberry jam, and whipped cream already on top (instead of being able to add our own to our own liking)and they did not taste good at all. The sweets, while ample in quantity, all seemed to be commercially produced, available atany grocery store, with nothing special made in-house. Very disappointing food on all fronts! Service was poor as no serverasked us for tea pot re-fills nor did they check to see how things were going with our Tea until we were finished. Sub-parservice when Afternoon Tea is supposed to be AN experience. Overall, DO NOT recommend the Afternoon Tea at Sparta. Maybe trysomething else on their menu? Read more

Charming old tea room with reasonable fare. A tad overpriced and a lacking in quality jams, preserves, or marmelade to go with... scones. They just had a kraft or smuckers-type sugary strawberry spread. Good service. Read more
