Reviews for A Taste of Thai in Spokane, WA

One of the Thai places I like the most in the area. They?re better at handling very busy times than other places that drop the... ball some. The food is good - especially if you dine it (to go can?t match it). The owners are very friendly. It?s really thefamily Thai restaurant one wants in their life. Predictable, reliable, good food, friendly people, and cheaper than it probablyshould be. Read more

I had a Stunningly opposite experience there 2 days ago. I ordered pad thai and the meat was Rancid. My daughter was eating it... before me and said. Mom, what's going on w the meat? I ate it and spit it out promptly. Smelled bad and was Obviously Rancid.Owner yelled at me and told me to never come back when I told her. Unbelievable obstinate rude response to my just telling herthe meat was Rancid. I laughed because it was so absurd.. An owner who Refuses to check on a complaint is a bad business owner. Read more

We ate there tonight and once again excellent service prices and food all excellent. We drive from Newman lake and it is well... worth the drive. We have tried many others no comparison. Read more

Hands down the best Thai in Spokane! The family who runs it is also so kind and friendly they have us determined to become... regulars! We love the pad Thai, pad see ew, and panang curry. Solid heat scale as well, need to remember how white I am andstick to the one star. Sat inside and loved how homey it felt <3 Highly recommend this place! Read more

Venue is definitely Thai vibes with the restaurant having pictures of the King, pictures of the Queen, and statues dedicated to... the different beings (entities being worshipped by the owner?). The venue is somewhat on the small-medium side, and can getvery crowded during peak hours. Tables are usually roughly 3ft apart. Parking is plentiful. Upon entering, you'll see tablessituated at the center of the restaurant crowded with to-go orders (Not too sure why bags of food are left out in the open). There's noise in the back from the clanking of pots while the chef works. A friendly environment with good customer serviceoverall. The Thai Tea (as mentioned by other reviewers) was definitely different. It's because Half & Half milk is being usedrather than Carnation condensed milk (which a lot of Thai restaurants in the US use). #Secret The food was tasty. Everythingwas ordered as medium spicy (3 dishes), but oh my! The Phad Thai was extreme. What a burn! I don't know why... but the peanutportions were really scaled back on this dish. Kinda unorthodox for a Thai restaurant (see pic.). The curry was on point;however, the garlic chicken was lacking in my flavor IMO. Wish they offered small containers (tiny cups) of spices one can takehome and add to their dishes if needed (To-Go or not). Just as past reviewers mentioned, some of the chicken meat were tougherthan others. The portions were good, and leftovers were taken home. Huge portions of rice. A bit on the dry side for me, butonce mixed in with curry sauce it was nice. Wow. Not my favorite Thai place in Spokane, but hope to give them another go & trymore dishes in the future. Read more
