I have watched this skippers struggle last few years. Between the Monroe Street construction and the covid pandemic. My family... has tried to do our part to support. I haven't been there for a while do to a couple bad experiences. Even though the pricehas gone up and the portion seems smaller, the food quality was better. Even though I was disappointed not to receive tartarsauce or crackers with my Togo order. I was pleased with the food and plan not wait so long before returning. Read more

The service is phenomenal. The food is okay. The fries were good, but the rest of the meal was like the Gorton's Fisherman was... cooking on the line. As far as atmosphere furniture and decor is extremely dated. Definitely needs a refresh. Not bad ifyou're going in for old school skippers nostalgia. Read more

We hadn't visited skippers for a while. The food was good, but I have never seen such poor customer service! The only nice... person was the one who took our order. The older gentleman should not be working with the Public! We were told they were toobusy to cook more fish for an all you can eat meal. He told new customers they would have a long wait because they were sobusy...note to management, this is fast food!! Some people rolled there eyes and left. The cook was on the phone talking veryloudly and rudely someone while food was cooking. Server put her fingers in our chowder. If you're so stressed and busy, hiremore help! Read more

I have been coming to this Skipper's since I was a little kid in the 1970s. It's changed hands many times but it's the only one... left in Spokane. They do things a bit differently than a standard Skipper's but we're always happy with the food. There'ssomething comforting about the taste of their clam chowder, which has been the same for so many years. During this particularvisit they were only two people on staff and they were very very busy. But they took time to greet us when we walked in the doorand were very pleasant and polite. My fish was a little light and I wasn't sure it was hot enough so I took it back up. Theyquickly put it back in the fryer and had it ready for me. We will continue to come back here. Read more

Yes, their clam chowder is amazing and I love their tartar sauce too! I'm really glad they sell both in a jar or a can that's... awesome! Too bad they don't sell them online! That's shocking! I live in Texas and would sure love some Skippers Clam Chowderdelivered to me. If you can make that happen, I'll give you 5 stars. Pure love my Skipper friends. ???? Read more

Been living 3 blocks away for 8 years but this was my first time back at Skippers in 15 to 20 years. I am very happy I decided... to come back! The staff was very friendly, and genuinely seemed happy to be there, which is hard to find in food service, so Iassume their ownership/management is doing something right! The fish and chips were very tasty. Not sure what the fish isbreaded with, but it was delicious. Halfway between breading and battering, with a nice crispy outside and the fish inside wasbeautifully cooked. The fries were surprisingly delicious, and their sauces were great ad well. But let's talk about the shrimp.I got the original shrimp basket and the shrimp were out of this world. I would take theirs over Red Lobster or Outback everytime. They offer a variety of all you can eat selections every day, and whichever is featured for that day is a dollar or twooff. It's nice, but still worth just getting exactly what you want instead of only coming ln specific days. You can also justadd pieces of fish or bowls of really good chowder onto any entree, which is probably what I'll do in the future. Top notch, andsuper glad to be just down the street! Might make this a place I walk to.for lunch weekly! Read more

I've been to this location many times, for well over 20 years, and I absolutely MUST share this experience. I didn't get a... chance to catch the gentleman's name that runs this Skipper's restaurant but between him and his staff I felt welcomed rightaway. I've never ever seen the place hopping along the way it was today and never been treated so important by the staff. Theproduct was given to me with such care in the presentation and quality of preparedness and I will definitely be making specialtrips back to this location. It's a long travel for us but this may just become the old Sunday favorite we enjoyed back in theday. I hate to admit that I've eaten at these fast food burger places we all know. It's cost me $25.00 for two people and myorder is ALWAYS wrong. This meal of all you can eat fish and chips with chowder and the all you can eat fish and clam stripswith chowder for the same cost as the burger place is out of this world. I will pick you over them every day of the week. Thankyou to you and to all of your team. Read more

Same Skippers I remember visiting as a kid. The staff here are great and provide excellent service. I ordered the fish and chips... with a side of chowder and everything was delicious. The breading on the fish was perfection and so were the French fries. Theclam chowder was very similar to what I remembered it if not better. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit! Read more
