Howard Johnsons roadside grill. At best. The soup, salad and steaks came at the same time. None of the drinks had carbonation.... It wasn't that this is a one time problem. The quality of this place is not good. I was hesitant since it is a lobby restaurant.A complete disaster. Here is a picture to prove. The brown greasy thing was an onion ring. It had been fried so many times itwas soaked in grease. I didnt eat any of the food. Read more

Found this place using Google as we were driving around. I don't live in Spokane. At first I was weary about it being in Double... Tree Inn. Got a table for 2 right away. A little spendy but but crazy bad. I ordered the Zabuton steak frites and so did mymanager. Instead of fries I chose a side salad with dressing on the side. My manager asked for no peppercorn sauce but I did. When our entrees came out, mine had no peppercorn sauce and my dressing wasn't on the side. My manager's had the sauce thatwasn't supposed to be on there. So we thought ????... But then the waitress right away got me the sauce. We both had the steakmedium rare. It was the best steak I have ever had. The meat was tender and juicy, full of flavor. It had a nice thin crust. There was no need for any sauce on it. The side salad was really good too, especially the dressing. Definitely a must try. Sorrythe lightning was bad for the photo. Read more

Ordered the 8oz Zabuton rare+. It was a very flavorful cut with a nice burnt crust. However, the bartender lead me to belive... it was a filet. I think it is a wayagu strip, not near tender enough to be a wayagu filet. The oinon soup is very good and thebartender is an excellent mixologist. Read more

Been coming here for years and this is still one of our favorite steakhouses in the country. Food - 5 stars - I haven't had a... bad dish. Some of our go-to's are the french onion soup, the crab cakes, and the rib eye. Atmosphere - 5 stars - typicalupscale steakhouse vibe - very comfortable. Service - 5 stars - very professional servers - friendly and knowledgeable. Prices- 4 stars - these are typical fancy steakhouse prices - probably more that they should be but no one should be surprised. Thisis a splurge restaurant. It's fun to pamper yourself ever now and then. I recommend you do so here! Read more

I recently took my wife out here for her birthday. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating. The restaurant was cold enough... that I had to put on my coat. This I can let go but the food was very expensive and we expected top notch preparation andtaste. The waiter brought our steaks out and asked us to cut into them, as if she knew they would not be cooked correctly. They were not. We sent back the steaks, they cooled new ones for us and the meat was still rare and raw (they were orderedmedium). I expected too much in believing that a nice place like this should be able to prepare steak correctly every time. Used to love Spencers but probably will not go back. I feel a little bad leaving this review but someone has to put a footdown. The pandemic is not an excuse for overpriced badly prepared food. What gives?! Read more
