This place is a hidden gem! There's a doorway on the side of the building you go through & follow the stairs down to the host... station. The venue is an old building the has be re-purposed into the restaurant giving it a speak easy vibe. The menu isAMAZING and the food is FANTASTIC. The tots with mushrooms was SO good. We were promptly greeted upon arriving by the lovely hostess who despite us having no reservation was able to slide us into her... last available table. The atmosphere and style were reminiscent of a 1920s basement speakeasy. After placing our orders, weonly waited about 15 minutes before our food was promptly served to us. My partner opted for the honey brined chop with maplemustard, gouda mac n cheese, bacon braised kale, whereas I had the sparkle burger with house made beer cheddar and bacon jam. I went here for my Birthday Dinner and it was better then expected. Food was 10/10 The atmosphere from music to scenery was... amazing! Our waiter even gave me a free birthday desert. When we come back to Spokane the Gilded Unicorn is a must. Reservationsare recommended! Read more
Set up reservation online for after Wicked. They were soo busy we had to wait for our reservation to get in ???? great food,... great service, fun environment and they never disappoint. I appreciate them working so well with a rowdy table of 8, like us. Read more
Dropped by here last night on the recommendation of one of the front desk staff at the hotel I'm staying at down the street... who's restaurant was closed for the evening. So glad I did. Last night I had the Bison Meatloaf. It was delicious. So much so,this evening I decided to return. Tonight I had a Dark Side of Manhattan (whiskey, sweet vermouth, dry vermouth, and orangebitters) the Pan Roasted Pork Chop for my entree, and Banana Fosters Bread Pudding for dessert. All of it extremely tasty.Service is very good as well. I am so happy to have been referred here. If you are in Spokane, the small, fun decor GildedUnicorn is worth a visit. Or two. This place is so lovely. It it's a hidden gem under ground. You take the stairs down to a warm cozy dimly lit dining area and... bar made of cobblestone and brick. There was a loud group at the bar, but we were able to sit in a little cove away from all ofthe noise. The service was delightful. Our first round of drinks were tasty and refreshing. The meals were DELICIOUS. The porkchop was tender and juicy and full of flavor. The maple mustard was a surprising perfect pair with the pork and the Mac. TheTater Tot casserole was sophisticated, and definitely deserves a more sophisticated name. The flavors blended so well and thevaried textures were perfect. Even the jalapeños were just right, not too spicy, just a great addition to the flavor. Our lastround of drinks were a great dessert. Ending this meal with a signature unicorn cocktail. TIP: The front half of the restaurant is a super cool space, the back half by the bathrooms is completely different. It feels... awkward and lacks ambience. Make a reservation and make sure you're seated in the front half. Every bite of food I put in mymouth was delicious!! The pork chop was perfectly cooked. The Gouda mac n cheese was decadent. The winter salad was perfectlybalanced. And I can't recommend the chicken cordon blue sandwich enough. Service was wonderful too! Read more
I've been here before with a friend and it was great. Wanted to share the experience with my husband. We had our date night and... it was phenomenal! We tried a bunch of stuff but my favorite drink was the unicorn Martini it has whipped cream on top. Myhusband really enjoyed every other drink that I ordered. We did have the duck wings and those were amazing! Still my favoritething on the menu. The Salmon dish was amazing too, and I had the unicorn burger and fries. Bocce rolls were amazing per usual!Be careful the chili is deceiving it's super hot and you can't tell really, the chili was my least favorite out of everything. Read more
