Went here for dinner, food and service are very good. But have you looked at the online menus? Half the menu has changed... because of change in ownership. There has to be a way for the restaurant to update their online menu , because I like to lookat a menu before I get there and it should be accurate. Also, I was charged a service charge for using a debit card. It'snot on the menu, the server didn't tell me. But there was the charge, after my card was run through. No other restaurantsin the area have a service charge for using a card. I can't think of one. So I guess mckenzies landing doesn't make enoughon their food, they need to make their customers pay their credit card fees as well. Sigh...... Read more
Don't order the smoked ribs, had them tonight and they are anything but house smoked, pre made packaged from a distributor,... blah. Service was great, waitress was very friendly and courteous. New owners is what was explained to me. Been coming here forover 30 years, maybe just come for the drinks now Read more
I am so glad we decided to stop here to eat during our vacation. Our waitress was excellent and on top of everything. The... atmosphere was friendly and very welcoming. The food was as good as can be expected. Everything came out very quick and thesalad bar is an excellent touch! There is outdoor seating that offers a lake view as well. Very cool place and you can tell theowners truly care about hospitality. They even took a family photo for us facing the lake as well! Thank you for the greatexperience. Read more
After being told the dining room was full and it was a thirty minute wait for seating we mentioned just going to another place,... since my dad is a diabetic and couldn't wait that long for food. The lady said no there's a table in the bar it won't be anissue. So we went to that table. Ordered right away including soup and an appetizer. Nothing came out and I do mean nothing, nosoup, no appetizer. Drinks were never refilled. The waitress would just fly by and say I'll go shake up the kitchen. Finally Ihad enough after waiting well over a hour. And approached the waitress to tell her we want the bill for our drinks and we areleaving. She then magically found our food which was cold. To say the least we barely touched anything. Then to top it off shehovered over my father as he was signing the credit card slip to make sure he tipped her. I will never go back here and neverrecommend this place to anyone. Yes I understand everyone is short of help these days. But this was not the kitchens fault (asstated food was cold which means the waitress didn't go check on it the three times she said she would). When it comes down toit they risked my father's health with not even bringing out the appetizer or soup until everything else came out. Read more
Stopped on July 4th for a late lunch/ early dinner; they were having a pig-roast and a limited menu for the day, only burgers... and appetizers off the menu. We asked about salad bar, were told we could add it on if we ordered off the menu. We opted forapps, ordered 4 different ones and the salad bar add-on. Salad bar was very limited, apps were very good! Got our bill, werecharged full price for salad bar (which was over 2 times the add-on price!) and were charged a fee to use our credit card, whichwe were not told about! Food was OK, but not worth the price. Always enjoyed McKenzie Landing, will be back , but sorry, only 1star for this visit. I know you can do better! Read more
We were out exploring and was told food great here. Stopped for drinks and beef tips. Yum! Checked out menu for next time.... Service, food and view of lake great. Have to try dinner sometime. We are at Pathfinder in Hinckley, MN. Read more
I stopped in 2 times within a few days. Fish fry is all you can eat for $15.00. It was very good. The waitress I had that day... was fantastic! I stopped on my way home, different waitress, she was very slow and disappointing. But the food is really good.Right now help is very hard to find, so I guess waiting a little longer is understanding. The view if the Chippewa is sobeautiful! Great place to stop. They have some really nice seating by the water. So pretty. Read more
We came in as a group of 10 on a motorcycle ride, it was the down time between lunch and dinner. The bartender asked the cook if... they could take care of us and they did with no problems. Quick and good drinks while we waited, food came out reasonably timedand all of us said it was delicious! Mostly burgers and fries and a few apps cheese curds and pretzel sticks. The landing burgeris simply amazing!!! Worth the trip from Superior. Read more
