I went in simply to pick-up lunch while visiting in the area. I was greeted immediately and given a menu to help me with my... choices. However, the greeter helped me with the selection and explained the plate I eventually ordered. She further packed itin such a way ( two plates) so I wouldn't have to do that back home. I ordered Mexican Tacos, 2 chicken and 2 beef, they weredelicious. Came with Spanish rice, lettuce and tomatoes, and borracho beans. Beautifully packaged and delicious ???? to look atand eat. This is my new favorite Tex-Mex place in the NW Houston area!! We used to love going to Los Cucos, but they aren?t as good as... they used to be. Pappasito?s raised their prices and now doesn?t seem as worth it. We came here to El Chaparro and were blownaway by the service, food quality, and just overall experience. The nachos were awesome, the chips and salsa were also amazing,and our waiter was super friendly and helpful. We?ll be coming back here every time we visit Houston! Read more

Ate here on Cinco de Mayo. I loved all the decorations they had inside! The green dip that they bring out with their chips was... so good, I asked for another one! Also, their Seafood Enchiladas are the best! Amazing staff and a good time! Would come backhere again. Read more

Had a great evening dinner with my family. Orders ranged from puffy tacos, tamales, chicken enchiladas and, yes, even breakfast... of Huevos Rancheros. Thanks to El Chaparral Mexican Restaurant on Gosling just east of Kuykendahl. The chips were crispy andsalsas we're good and not to spicy. Thanks for a great dinner. We'll be back!!! Read more

By far the best around. We came here shortly after moving to Texas and immediately fell in love with the food. Not one thing... stands out because it was all so good ( over multiple visits lol) Leticia serves my whole family and knows exactly what welike. If she?s working, ask for her. You won?t regret it. I?ve eaten at the bar a few times and the drinks are alwaysdelicious. If you?ve never had margaritas, try the flight. The flavors are good, but be warned, they?re sneaky. It?s a big openseating area and the conversation can carry so don?t expect peace and quiet most of the time HOWEVER it?s not obnoxious oruncomfortable by any stretch.
