Beautiful place that pretends to be an upscale restaurant. Pluses: salad and appetizers were delicious. Service was way less... than stellar. My veal parmigiana was dry, burnt on the edges and tough. Big portions but not even close to pizzeria level. And$51 for a poor quality meal. Lastly ordered coffee and deserts. Coffee cam cold, waiter apologized and mentioned they would makefresh pot. Coffee reappeared 2 minutes later, still cold. My wife who never complains even said something. Service was on thepoor side, food was less than upscale by a long shot. Breaking down the review below: 1. Waitstaff -5! Jack was very attentive and accommodating to our table. 2. Service- 4! It took... about 20 minutes to receive our drinks and another 20 from then to receive appetizers. Jack mentioned the kitchen was serving awedding and apologized for the wait. There is typically a 1.5 hour wait on the table but we were not rushed to due to this. Wealso had a reservation! 3. Food -4! The portion size of the calamari appetizer was too small to share amongst four people buttasty. Same goes with the gnocchi bolognese, small portion size but delicious. I ordered the eggplant parm which I recommend. Idon't normally clear my plate, but I did here! 4. Drinks 4!- Spicy strawberry margarita was sooo good. Wish it was a littlespicer - they only add a few very very thinly sliced jalapeño. Pictured is a drink I cannot remember the name of but veryfruity and good! 5. Atmosphere- 5! The food was delicious, everyone said they enjoyed their meal. The quality and chef were top notch. Portions were very average.... The prices are high! The service was good. They had entertainment, a singer & music, a nice addition. The ambience was nice.There are tables with an ocean view. The noise level was high, some what difficult to hear across the table, the restaurant wasfull. Over all a good experience. I would not frequent this restaurant because of the price range. Read more
Food was outstanding. What made the evening was the live entertainment . The singer was amazing. We saw him a few years ago... prepandemic. Very memorable. I really hope he makes it big. I also hope the next time we come to Baeli's he is there. I had thebaked oysters for an app. They I had the meat lasagna. So full I skipped dessert but the others loved it. Read more

Upscale Italian eatery. Nice atmosphere, located in the beautiful Grand Victorian hotel right across from the beach in Spring... Lake. Nice view from the porch. Nice wine and bottled/canned beer selection. Excellent service and terrific food. Highlyrecommend. Read more
What a lovely evening, terrific service, wonderful staff and beautiful holiday decorations. My wife and I, for the 1st time... spent Thanksgiving without our grown children. Thanksgiving in a restaurant is a very unique experience. The food was terrificand the live music made for a perfect eve. How did I not know about Bareli's By The Sea after living at the Shore since 2007? We drove out from our current home in... Princeton to meet with friends for an early Thanksgiving dinner at Bareli's. Situated in Spring Lake right across the road fromthe beach, this restaurant has a distinct Jersey Shore beach feel but with a demure, upscale vibe. Inside, Bareli's feels like alarge house with a main dining area accompanied by several enclosed porches and rooms also for dining. The dining experience ismore intimate given the multiple separate (smaller) dining spaces. And yet, they pull this off without making things feelcramped. The menu is relatively compact but well-curated so as to suit most diners (we are vegetarian and enjoyed the pumpkinravioli option to the traditional turkey dinner our friends had). Our appetizer salad was outrageously good and everything wasvery fresh. Presentation is excellent and prices are a bit less than I'd expect for the beautiful location, gorgeous restaurant,and high food quality). Service was also excellent (your water glass is never going to go below half full) and our waiter wasfast and friendly. Bareli's is an exceptional restaurant and a fabulous dining-by-the-beach experience. The next time we'reback in town, this will be a top choice for dining with local friends. Very highly recommended!
