What a gem of a place. Me and my wife stopped by and i thought it was just a place to by different types of cheeses, and while... you can by cheese, its a sandwich shop. I ordered a Reuben and they really put a good amount of sauerkraut on it. It was anormal Reuben sandwich, they didnt try to be creative or reinvent the reuben. It was absolutely delicious. My wife ordered acheese steak and i tried a bite, same thing, absolutely delicious. Simple sandwiches that are good and priced right. I reallywish i would have came here sooner. I decided to stop in after not having Nelson's in over 25 years, and I am so glad I did. I ordered the Hero sub sandwich, and it... was not only delicious, and large- the ingredients were some of the freshest I have ever had. The staff were nice. The decor wassimple, and humble. There are a selection of different craft sodas, and chips to accompany some great subs. I highly recommendgiving Nelson's a go for your next lunch. Read more

Finally checked this wonderful shop out after years of driving by. We were absolutely delighted by the awesome variety of... sandwiches! Each with a different array of deli meats, cheeses, and veggies on an assortment of breads and rolls. We had the St.Paul Special and Cheesemaker and loved the soft bread and extremely generous amount of meats (including pastrami). Barn Burner(Lots of pastrami!) and Cuban from next visit were even better! Much cheaper and better than the chain sandwich shops! Quite anassortment of beverages and snacks too! MUST check out the cheese and meat sticks by the cashier! Wide variety of veryreasonably priced cheeses. Danish Blue was one of the best I've ever had! Will definitely be returning. Read more
I asked for a corned beef with coleslaw and thousand island dressing on pumpernickel. It was perfect! Their BLTs are from... Heaven! Loaded with thick cut bacon ???? ????. Nelson's has a great menu and will make any sandwich you desire. I'm a faithfulfan. Read more
