I have been living in Mound for almost 40 yrs. the prices have really gone up for what you get. I ordered the 1/2 fried chicken... dinner and it was approx $14 with tax. although the flavor was good i was surprised how small the pieces were. They almostseemed slightly bigger than a Cornish game hen. There was 3 of us and everyone said they thought the chicken pieces were reallysmall. We spent close to $60 for the 3 of us which does seem really high for deep fried food. Read more

I just happened to me nearby viewing an apartment and decided to stop here for lunch. I love dining at these dinosaur... establishments all over the twin cities. This place had a good burger, it was pricey for the size by which I mean you could goto McDonald?s/ Wendy?s for the same price and get a bigger burger and whole meal. But the burger and fries were good. I wouldvisit again if I was in the area. If you eat on their picnic tables you get a nice view of the lake. Read more
Made a special trip with my grandson for the onion rings I remember from growing up in Mound. Only to find out they are... literally crossed off the menu and no longer available. Root beer floats were fine. Read more
I?ve been wanting to try the drive in for the past year, but had not had the opportunity. We tried over the 4th but they are... closed on Mondays. Foiled! We made it tonight and we were disappointed in only one aspect:,the shakes and malts are too smallfor $6.59 each , I expected more than 12 ounces! Otherwise the food was great. I have always supported the Minnetonka Drive-In not only because I enjoy supporting local business, but it's also a pretty cool... place. I always knew I was paying a premium to support local business and was okay with that. However, prices have got to apoint there where it is hard to justify buying a Minnetonka Twin with fries and a drink for more than I would be spending at TheNarrows. I will probably still visit one or two times during the season though. Read more
