Who can resist this famed Route 66 icon. They sell ?cozy dogs? and not ?corn dogs.? Service was good, food was great and prices... were reasonable. Clean restrooms and friendly staff. Lots of Route 66 kitsch, so definitely worth going inside to order. Read more

Traveling through our Route 66 adventure. We of course had to stop at the Cozy Drive In, to experience the *Hotdog on a stick*... many have claimed to have invented the corn dog all over the states, but the cozy dog was the original place, who came up withthe concept or idea of putting the stick in the breaded hotdog. The manager, Cashier, and cooks... well all of the employeeswere very upbeat, friendly, and happy. The memorabilia was very nice. We got collectibles to take with us. The store was superclean. Great photo ops! My corndog was AMAZING and fresh! The Cheese sticks were on point too. Definitely worth stopping in for!Keep up the good work guys! Read more

A bucket list adventure was achieved! From kindness of the staff, to the cool memorabilia, to the walk down memory lane. The... history of the cozy dog was a tasteful treasure. My corn dogs and fries have never tasted better. Thank you so much. Read more

We stopped here for lunch on our way out of Springfield. We had heard this place's claim to fame is that they originated the... corn dog. So naturally we had to try it out on our Route 66 road trip. The corn dog wasn't that great...I think a lot of a corndog hinges on the dog. And this one was bland and mushy. Nothing with a good beefy flavor or snap. The breading was bland aswell. The fries were both soggy and burnt, leading me to believe the oil was too hot? I think this place is great for a photo opbut I wouldn't make it a destination to eat. Read more

Excellent representation of the route 66 nostalgia must are seeking. I want to say, I am not a big corn dog fan, so i want... thrilled to come, BUT Cozy dog has changed all that! Crispy, crunchy thin layer and boy was it delicious! ???? Plus, how canyou not fall in love with the decor! Pepsi can airplanes, route 66 decor and it definitely gives you that Midwestern cozyfeeling inside and when your eating that yummy corn dog! So glad we stopped and added one more place to the list of must tryplaces.... and you will thank me for it too! Read more
