Gross and not very appetizing. Was told about how great this place is. Soggy bread old turkey that was shiny. And way too... expensive for some gas station food. Read more

Pleasant staff, interesting decor. The #4 (Pastrami & Swiss) is a great sandwich!

20 bucks got two sandwiches the bread was stale. When I buy sandwiches and pay that much I expect to get fresh bread. Took one... bite and the entire sandwich fell apart because it was stale. Not to mention the creepy old dude Flirting with the young girlin the back. ???? I won?t be going back just for the stale bread alone. Read more

Wow this one was pretty rough. I have a high tolerance but them not even having my order after waiting thirty minutes, no... apology, no reaching out, just "oops sorry, no food here, but hey! 15% off!" Yeah lol ok. Never coming back or paying it anymind. Read more

We come here specifically over fast food on road trips to Chicago. The chicken at this location tasted like rubber and the... bread was not the magic it has always been at the other locations. Also, zero appreciation for the older man who was training ayoung man expressing his unsolicited political views to us. We wanted to pick up our sandwiches in peace. Read more

Review Date: March 11th, 2014 The place where I learned that I don?t like Hellman?s Mayonnaise. Mayonnaise seems to be such a... controversial condiment. It has its fair share of lovers and it has its fair share of haters. There seems to be no middleground. Personally, I like it when it can compliment a meal but too little and it does nothing and too much floods out the otherflavors. Head West was suggested to me when I was first putting together my travel list in 2011 by my friend Annalyn. She saidit was the best place to get subs in Springfield. I took her word on that and decided to check it out on one of my first tripsto the city of Abraham Lincoln. I wasn?t sure what to expect from Head West. The name and logo gave me a few differentexpectations but I don?t think what it is and what I expected aligned very well. The restaurant was heavy on the greens andpurples from what I remember. Like something you would see in New Orleans. Seeing as this was forever ago, I don?t reallyremember what I got but I do remember the fatal mistake I made. When I unrolled my sub sandwich and I was presented with somemayo packets, I added them to my sub to the level I thought was appropriate. I was naive. I was young. I didn?t know better. Ittook a few bites for me to realize that I don?t like Hellman?s Mayo. Not one bit. Sadly, I did too good of a job when I added itas it was evenly spread across the whole sandwich. Bite after bite, I tried to tell my brain that it was good. It wasdelicious. It was not the worst thing I had. But in the end, I had to admit it was nasty. The sub itself was really good and theJones Soda washed everything down rather well. This was my first time having a Jones Soda and that was far fromdisappointing. After choking down the sub, we made our exit. I have forever cursed that mayonnaise for ruining my sub on thatday. On the bright side, I would be willing to go back and try a sub again. As I said prior, the sub itself was great. It wasju Read more

Good experience when I came in. This is one of the many Headwear shops that we have and the quality shows in this establishment... as well. The only thing I have against it is its location. This store is located pretty far off the main road so you either haveto Google for this store, see it in passing when you go to a neighboring store, or see it by dumb luck. But regardless theydeliver quality sandwiches and desserts every time I go in so I am happy to support this local business and would highlyrecommend it. Read more
