WOW! I was super impressed by this restaurant and manager Kristen. It was my first visit and they were super welcoming. Delaney... is always super sweet! I came here because Panda Express was closed. I went to Mission BBQ yesterday for the first time. The customer service was amazingly outstanding! They were super friendly. ... I was there a little before noon and promptly at 12:00 p.m., everything stopped. Staff and customers stood, faced the flag withhands on hearts while the National Anthem played. I?ve never witnessed anything like that before and it made me feel like I wasa part of something very special. Once that was done, I was receiving my order and noticed they had peach cobbler on the menu,well my dad loves peach cobbler so I asked if I could add to my order. They grabbed a peach cobbler and gave it to me for freesince it was my first visit there and it definitely will not be my last either! I brought lunch home for my dad and myself, weboth loved everything! The food was absolutely delicious and I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. Was pleasantly delighted how good the food was about half an hour before closing because at other places, I've been... disappointed. But here, it was a great 8:30pm experience. I called in order 20 min earlier and travelled from the other side ofSpringfield to get there. They were making part of my order and bagging up the rest when i got there. NICE! Will definitely beback! I got pulled chicken that was breast meat 1/2 hr before closing and it wasn't dry as paper like other places I've been wayearlier in the day! Most impressive. Guy that took my phone order (Tony or Terry or something else. I totally forgot. Feel bad.Sorry bruh!) was patient and helped guide me to a decision as to what to get. If I had to nit pick and and have a not sopositive comment, it would be in the form of this suggestion: if corporate would let the buns be buttered and toasted ongriddle, they'd get 6 of 5 stars from me! NEXT. LEVEL. SAMMICH. UPGRADE! The other guy that prepped my dessert knew all abouteach sauce and described them and gave me 6. My faves are in the photo by the SAMMICH in the container. I got the pulled pork - which had little flavor. The bun was dry as well. But the fries were very good, so I dumped the pork on... them and turned it into a decent meal. Be aware - the portion sizes for sides is very, very small. Read more
Loved the smoke smell when you walk into the place. Decor was all about the heroes of our nation and local services. BBQ meat... sampler was great. Brisket served wet or lean. Pulled port and lean smoked turkey had a ton of flavor. Carmel Apple Cobbler isto die for. I will be back!!! Read more
We stopped in after a long day helping family move. We were ravenous and just wanted to stuff our faces. This place was perfect... for that mission. We got the 3 meat.... Brisket (moist), pork and turkey. We also got the Mac and cheese and cheesypotatoes. They threw in a dessert for free for us. Apple caramel dessert that was equally delicious. I was in Springfield for the afternoon and looking for some good BBQ for lunch. Luckily for me I couldn?t find many places that... were open on Monday so that put me at Mission BBQ. We split the brisket and pulled pork combo with Mac and cheese and fries. Everything was amazing but the brisket was a stand out for sure. Liked that they had many sauces to try on the table. Even theice tea was a stand out. I will definitely seek out Mission BBQ in the future. Read more
