This place is a cute little spot. the chili itself left much to be desired. I got the medium, I was not asked about onions or... cheese. The chili itself was very greasy and bland lacking flavor. I had to stop at the store and add things to the chili. Read more

Locals seem to love the chili, I can't recommend it. I'd suggest that cheese dog instead. It's worth a visit if you're in tht... neighborhood. Read more

Chill is one of my favorite foods. I've been trying it all over the country and making multiple recipes at home. This is one of... my favorites. The "hot" level is perfect for me and my wife likes mild. If you get one bowl you'll also get a huge helping ofoyster crackers as well. This is a great value for your money at lunch. If you're feeling adventurous go for the Firebrandchili. It's hot but has great flavor too. Read more

My son brought a container of Fire Brand back from Springfield so we in Shorewood could try it. It was hot but not as hot as I... expected, but the remarkable thing about the chili is the amount of oil in it. I don't know where it comes from, but the oilcongeals to a thick grease on your spoon. As one whose career was involved in the manufacture and use of lubricants, I amfascinated by the quantity of oil you get in each bowl, and the tenacity of this oil to stick to metal. A tribologist's dreamcome true. Read more

Simply the best chili around. The ability to get 6 levels of spice is awesome. Putting the ingredients in the bowl per order... allows this and infinite variations on their product. Friendly staff and a super clean restaurant. Our family drives over anhour from St. Louis to eat there. This visit was at the request of my 9 year-old daughter for her birthday.
