Just grabbed some on the way home driving my friend back from Bradley International Airport and I am FLOORED by how good this... is. One AWESOME welcome home meal for my best pal. The chicken is amazing, the fish is amazing, they even have fried okra, andit was all prepared FRESH for us, even though it was close to closing for them (was after 1 am). This place is *made of* thatelusive "local authenticity" that can't be faked. They're a fixture in the community and it shows in the quality and variety oftheir food. Good place to stop by for a quick bite + halal. A little expensive in my opinion.
I ate here for the first time in the 6 months I have been traveling to Springfield, and the gyro was one of the best I have had,... even with the unusual and tasty dill-infused sauce. The star was the fries - old school skinny stick fries that seem to havebeen double-fried (not sure) and these were very crisp outside and soft inside - perfect.
