being visiting the area, didn't know good place to eat, so I went there by reccomendation by a local friend. You can choose... take-out or dine in, we choose the latter. location itself is very basic, just table/seats without waiters, but boys, the meatis GOOD! we choose pulled port and burnt ends (the best part of the brisket) and it was definitely good choice. just be awareonce they finish the daily availability (as it is cooked in the proper way, they need time to get the daily batch ready forserving), there is no more! Very good. I?ve not had Texas BBQ, but it was explained to me by a customer who is, it?s just Meat salt and pepper. The cracked... pepper flavor was very prevalent, luckily I like black pepper. Flavors were good, burnt ends were nice and tender. Nothing hereI must have. The jalapeño cheese corn was freaking fire- like I mean spicy AF. Friendly staff, but prices were too high for the less than memorable food. I got the burnt ends sandwich with a side of... Jalapeno Cheese corn. Meat was juicy, but the spicy sauce was too sweet. Jalapeno cheese corn had a little kick but seemedlike it was missing cheese. Not worth the price paid. Also not a fan of the glass put up around the ordering area. I've eaten a lot of bbq, Memphis and KC style. I lived in KC suburbia for over a decade and I don't think I've ever had better... brisket. This restaurant is clean, efficient, customer oriented, and friendly. Read more
I have never had Texas BBQ before yesterday. Man I like it!! Went to lunch with my beautiful wife after mass on Sunday. We were... greeted as soon as we walked through the door. The man who took and prepared our order was very helpful and nice. We were goingto set outside so as we waited for our food I walked through the restaurant. It was very clean, inside and out. We did not wait5 minutes for our food. We choose a table outside and pulled our food out of the bag. My wife had the burnt end sandwich. Theburnt ends were perfect. I had the Sweaty Texan sandwich. It had brisket and Texas hot links. I was very pleased. We shared amedium jalapeño cheesy corn. It was delicious but it does have some heat. I will return. Read more
My family and my favorite bbq in Springfield Missouri. I always get the brisket and pork belly which is basically thick-cut... smoked bacon very good and pulled pork sandwich with potato salad and Cole slaw. They have 3 sauces which are also very good theregular bbq, the spicy bbq, and a mustard-based bbq sauce. I recommend this place to everyone. Definitely have to give them atry. Read more
