The special last night was smoked pork chops and I love smoked pork chops. They were extremely dry. So much so that I could... hardly swallow it. When I pointed that out to the server, her response was well didn't you get BBQ sauce (I can't because of mydiet) she then asked if I wanted another sauce? I'm going to get straight to it. Sent me out some burnt fries. I always forget to take photos, but clearly those fries were over... cooked(so I sent them back). They attempted to satisfy me with another hot batch of burnt fries and I gave up at that point. Myother guest got steak, catfish and baked potatoes. The baked potatoes were not cooked through and the catfish was undercookedand looked like they were served the last pieces out of the bag. Lastly the steak that was brought out was ordered Rare and itcame out clearly medium. The server was good and did her best. This place did not used to be this bad. My husband and I have been to numerous Colton's Restaurants from Sedalia to Knob Noster and more. This location could... definitely use tips from either of these locations on Service! Waitress (Gabrielle)was Absent almost always (even had to havesomeone else take our check- her Only table), high chair was dirty when given to us, and the restaurant was not very busy thatwe shouldn't have had Excellent Service! What are some ways you could improve? Well one way would be, when someone orders a 15 dollar steak to give then one that's... larger than 4 bites. And don't say it's due to pre cook weight. common sense says don't give 1 person a normal sized steak andthe other with the SAME ORDER a steak less than a 3rd of the size. pics in comments. We had a great Father's Day dinner. We had chicken, steak, and 2 kids meals with steak and everyone enjoyed their food... thoroughly. The service was great as well. There were a lot of people waiting, but it didn't take long at all to get in. Read more

The food is always top notch, but the service is always just "passable." Never a RUDE staff, but never anyone overly friendly.... Been MANY times, and we've never had a server who stands out. No name sticks with us, and their attentiveness has been average.It's "in and out," with NEVER a suggestive sell or upsell. Just order takers.
