When you walk in the door, you immediately hear the Greek/Mediterranean music playing softly over the speakers. The ceiling is... lined with colorful umbrellas and other decorations. We went for lunch, when they do counter service. (Evenings and weekends thehave table service.) Since it is downtown and only a hop skip and a jump from campus, we reserved a table using Google Maps. The owner introduced himslef and explained that it is a "aunthentic" Greek restaurant therefore you won't find the Chicagooriginating lamb and beef gyro meet. I ordered the mixed platter with bifteka and sausage. My wife ordered the Kraken. And, myson ordered the bifteka. Everything was delicious, if not new to us. We also shared a cup of red pepper soup, a regular baklavaand a pumkin spice baklava. Definitely worth a try. Read more

I throughly enjoyed this little unique and delectable place. The are staff are super helpful and friendly. If you are unfamiliar... with Greek food, no need to worry. The staff are more than willing to give you a rundown of the menu. The menu covers all thetypical greek eats. They even have baklava and other Greek sweets for dessert! Just don?t forget the TZATZIKI SAUCE!!! Read more

We visited Greek Belly (thanks for the image btw!) on the recommendation of my nephew who is from here (we?re from Connecticut).... We?ve also eaten Greek food in Europe and was pleasantly surprised by how good the Greek food tasted here in MO. I had thesliced pork gyro wrap with a fresh salad, fries and Green Ghost IPA and my wife had the gyro plater. We both love the flavorsof our meals and the friendliness of the restaurant staff. Five Stars! Read more

We came here and ordered the Prometheus Feast for our family of 4 and it was barely enough for all of us (but we weren?t super... hungry!) Not a complaint. It was a great choice! The food was so so good! I was not a fan of the pork souvlaki? it was verytough but everything else was quite delicious. It hasn?t been noted here? and I really DO like this restaurant but the floorsare sticky and dirty? every crevice is covered in a film. It?s off putting. Even the window sills are layered in a nasty film offood dirt. I don?t know how such a nice restaurant is so dirty but it?s worth noting because it?s gross. OTHERWISE, I like thefood here! Read more

Greek Belly is a staple with my household! Every menu item I have had is stellar! They offer a wide variety of Greek specialties... from baklava to dolmades. Do yourself a favor, get the kraken pita with a side of feta fries, outstanding!! Also, make sure totry their falafel, some of the best in Springfield! Read more

This place is so freaking adorable!!!!!! The decor with the tables and umbrellas on the ceiling gives off a real feel of just... sitting along a sidewalk enjoying your afternoon or evening. Love the ambiance! I ordered the fries with chicken and tahinisauce and it was pretty good as I had never had that combination on fries before and ordered the hummus with beef. I wasn'toverly impressed with the hummus but the beef was seasoned and tender nicely and my friend said the Baklava was AMAZING! Read more

My son and I ate here for lunch yesterday and it was wonderful! The meats were full of flavor and delicious! My only issue was... that I received my meal before my son, by at least 15 mins. However, they were incredibly busy and the staff was friendly, sothey still received 5 stars. Read more
