If you enjoy fine dining, Nicola's is one of the better establishments in Springfield. Last evening my sister, step mother and I... went for dinner. The ambiance is calming, the hostess inviting, and our waiter/server was a man that knows his craft. The foodwas probably the best meal I've had since the COVID lockdown. I would recommend the Filet Gargonzola and any of the appetizers.The cut was superb and cooked PERFECTLY. Seriously, perfect. I've heard their lasagna is second to none, however there issomething about the availability. I hear it's a dish in high demand. The desserts were phenomenal. I had the tiramisu which wasgreat, but my sister ordered some kind of coconut and blackberry gooey cake which was hands down the best dessert I've evertried. The items are on the pricey side, but you are paying for quality and I found it to be well worth the $186 price tag (plus$80 tip...I know, but he earned it) I would recommend this place to anyone except proven Karen's. My favorite place for Italian in Springfield. My parents introduced me to it when I visited a couple years ago and we try to go... every time I'm visiting them now. This time we were celebrating a 58th wedding anniversary. Our group enjoyed Beet Salads,Wedge Salad, Ahi Tuna special, Salmone Pasta and Pork Shank all seen in the photos and Seafood Pasta & Veal and PortabellaRavioli, not shown. As usual the food and service was amazingly good. The wine list is comprehensive as well. In addition theyhave a full bar. Highly recommend going if you are in the area. Read more
Best italian in springfield. Reminds me of my great grandmothers cooking. Its authentic and the portions are huge. Our waiter... was so good and attentive we left him a 100 dollar tip. If you are looking for fine Italian dinning then Nicholas's should be high on your list. It's not cheap but the food is top... notch. All the wait staff are top shelf people, bread is refilled, water glasses are topped off. Overall very good service. Goodis well prepared and served quickly. Read more
