Cody was a wonderful friendly helpful waitress. I had the half slab of ribs. The rub was excellent. Cooked perfectly (except for... the silver skin, which I removed. My wife?s chicken and sausage were perfect. The okra was not over cooked like so many do. Macand cheese was nice and creamy. We have lived in KC so long that we rarely eat BBQ elsewhere. Service was great however food was not. Tasted microwaved, and the mashed potatoes wernt anything to rave about. You call... yourself ?rib crib? however your ribs aren?t even decent. Cheap meat and no seasoning. Wouldn?t recommend it. Read more
The pulled pork sandwich with original bbq sauce was very good. The macaroni and cheese tasted strange to me, needs more... sharpness or tang. The ?butter? for the corn on the cob also tasted funny. I do recommend the place, but not the macaroni andcheese. Read more
What I had, pulled pork sandwich and slaw was excellent and the service was great. But they were out of brisket, chicken, and... spuds which was disappointing for those dining with me. I've eaten there many time when I had a better experience. Read more
The food was delicious and you got a large amount for a very reasonable price (especially the children's portions.) Our waitress... was friendly and prompt. The restaurant was clean as were the bathrooms. My only complaint, which is minor, was the cole slawwas slightly warm probably from sitting under the heat lamp before being served.
