Never go here this location is horrible! The Gm is always yelling at workers and every time I walk in it?s that same person... yelling at someone different every time I walk in and they make the place feel less family friendly and feels depressing as hellwhen you walk in. I?ve seen one of the managers spit in the food before serving (thank good it wasn?t my order). The food isjust as bad as the line workers and they never get my order right it?s always wrong and takes too long to get out. The foodquality is a big problem the meat tastes out of date, hardly ever cooked right, and always served cold. Overall this place isone of the worst managed steak and shake locations I?ve ever gone to, very low quality food items, not as family friendly as onewould seem, not sanitary at all, and needs better employees. This is the first time I have eaten at this location but don't think I will return. The waitress was just not very pleasant. ... The friend I had taken had not eaten at steak and shake for a while and did not know right away what he wanted. After eating weordered a shake. One of the shakes she noticed was incorrect so she took it back. Withing just a few minutes of us having ourshakes she came and asked if we would like to go cups to take them with us. I haven't felt pushed out the door like this in along time. Will stick to the national location in the future. Roger Read more
Overall a decent experience, but we may not be back. When we commented to our waitress that the menu was surprisingly small and... missing familiar items, we were told the restaurant was under newanagement. Service in general was slow, and while it isunderstandable to trim a long menu to cut costs and improve ease of preparation, this restaurant's menu goes so far as to noteven describe what menu items contain. For those who have never been to Steak 'n Shake, they're not going to know what a FriscoMelt or Patty Melt contains. No section on the menu for toppings that can be added to burgers etc... All that said, my doublegarlic burger was fresh, tasty, and juicy. The burger patties appeared to be pretty small, but this likely the result of costcutting by new magement. Read more
Prices have gone up, but that's to be expected in this economy, so I wasn't too bothered by it (although I was disappointed that... it now forced me to get a soft drink when I usually get water at a restaurant). My burger was good, however my partner had aburger that came with a soggy bun (which they replaced), and the veggies were underneath the patty rather than on top, butthat's more of a personal gripe I think. I love steak n shake! However the place was a bit dirty. When you are seated, it seems to take forever to receive any thing. The... last time my kids and family and I went, we among 3 or 4 other groups had to wait almost 5/10 mins to even get drinks. It may bethe location, but it's dwindling.... Read more
Steak 'n Shake is so easy. Pretty good food. Service isn't always great. Had our server from two tables over throw our straws... at us because he forgot to give them to us, but food was good. Read more

I?d like to start off by saying my friends and I come to steak and shake regularly, we love the food and the atmosphere. They... always take really good care of us and because of this we like to take care of them so we normally tip pretty generously. I?vebeen a server for five years so I know how important tips are. Tonight though was the first night our experience was very poor.We sat down and it took about ten minutes to get our drink order, this is frustrating because there was one other table in thereother than us. All the servers were by the drink station talking and laughing while we were sitting there waiting, not tomention one of the servers was throwing food at the cooks through the food window and he was throwing it back. Veryunprofessional. When we finally did get our order taken it was almost like it was chore, we ordered our food and drinks at thesame time and it came out fast and was delicious. When getting our food our server (Izzy) seemed very uninterested and like shehad better things to be doing. At checkout we went to split up our ticket (different server checking us out) she made it seemlike a inconvenience, she was very hesitant to check us out and was just going through the motions and was just ready for us toleave because it was 10:00 and time to close.
