It's crazy there raising the price so high when the quality has gotten so low. Imagine paying $16 dollars for 5 dollars worth of... rice a poorly trimmed meat. You can barely keep your doors open already and I bet this move loses you even more customers. Read more
So you are paying $9.95 for 12 small pieces of chicken and almost 2 scoops of rice... I remember when this place was great, but... my oh my how it has fallen. The taste is okay, but the price and meager servings ensure that I will never return again. Sorry,but its time that this place close if they cannot control and maintain a quality standard with a quality product. Had I not beenon a lunch break I might have returned to complain. Read more
Price not bad for basically rice and macaroni great carbohydrates. Little bit of chicken and a chicken vegetable dish. Taste... okay but not worth the time or the effort to go. Read more
Edit: I've changed my review. Now suddenly they charge $2.50 extra for Mauna Loa spice levels but it isn't on their menu. I... didn't find out until after my card was charged and I saw my regular order came out more expensive. Not cool at all! The Garlicpaste doesn't cost that much. Old review: Always great. I loved plate lunches in Hawaii and these are as close as you can get without crossing the Pacific. Portions are large. I... recommend getting it without the macaroni salad (mac) but that's me. Read more
Being out of state, I didn't really know what to expect. The menu is fairly straight forward (not too many items). Being... Hawaiian, I expected many SPAM dishes but such was not the case. The food was fine, but I was hungry too. Somehow, the beef,rice and macaroni salad all went well together. What surprised me most was how popular the place was and that it seems to dowell with such a small staff. The food is done very quickly which is a very nice touch. I eat here about once a week, love they added veggies to the menu and their Mac salad is the best around.
