What a lovely coffee shop! The tall barista was super friendly and knowledgeable. I had the curry hand pie and the flavor was... great, but it would have been better if it had been toasted instead of microwaved because the crust ended up a little chewy forthe price. Good cappuccino, excellent muffin, peaceful indoor seating, air conditioned. Great place to meet up for coffee! Sit in the back... and look out over the Black River, or go out to the park just outside the door, if you can brave the sun (I can\'t, it needstrees over the benches, but that\'s on the town, not the coffee shop). HOLY COW. Seriously. This place is a FIND. Stopped in today for a cup of coffee and was blown away! For real, no hyperbole...... best coffee I\'ve had in years. Grabbed a key lime scone, too, and a gluten free cookie for my hubby -- both outstanding. Theyhave super cool art on the walls, and it\'s for sale... yep, we bought a piece of art, too. But truly, the two best parts ofthis place are the coffee (rated: not to be missed!), and the staff of delightful young people who couldn\'t do enough for us.We\'re up in Chester, and will be driving down for coffee frequently! I seriously hope this place gets enough regular businessto stick around, because I will be super sad if they were to be gone! My only complaint is that they\'re not right in Chester,where I could likely walk to them for a cup of coffee! Read more
Feels like I found a hidden treasure! I have a home in Ludlow and it is well worth the drive out to Black River Coffee... Bar.\n\nThe shop is extremely clean, the coffee is smooth and delicious, and the location is beautiful. There is a calmingsitting area next to the shop and if you go outside you can enjoy your coffee by the waterfalls. What an amazing spot for acoffee shop. They have gluten free options too for food.\n\nCheck out the photos to get a feel for the space. Love this place,highly recommend putting this coffee shop on the map. Read more

Friendly efficient service, excellent Latte beautifully presented, comfy dining area with great views of the river or the center... of town. The Maple Espresso Scone was a perfect yummy treat on a rainy day. Read more
