I needed good food from a casual, low stress restaurant. La Casita was delightful. Parking was convenient in their lot. I was... quickly seated regardless of the busy lobby area where customers can also pay their bill. About half the he tables were full at2pm. They served warm homemade tortilla chips with fresh salsa while I reviewed the menu. Chips were some of the best. Not toothick, thin or greasy. The salsa was also excellent. Made with fresh diced tomatoes and fresh onions. Not too spicy. The chipswere perfect for scooping up large quantities of their fresh salsa. I ate the full bowl along with my meal. I ordered theshredded beef and cheese burrito and a Diet Coke (served from the their fountain although Pepsi products make up the majority oftheir soda selection). Served in a nice large glass with ample ice and a prompt free refill. The meal was delicious. I'm not afoodie or even known at La Casita, I'm just getting a little older and enjoy good food. The burrito was packed with tendershredded beef, ample cheese and I opted for the refried beans instead of rice. The salad was simple but good; fresh lettuce,diced tomatoes and an Italian type dressing. I ate every bite and thoroughly enjoyed it. The refried beans topped with meltedcheese made a great bean dip for my remaining chips while adding a nice complimentary flavor to my burrito. This is obviously apopular local restaurant as there were a lot of greetings and conversation. Yet, it was still comfortable for an outsider likemyself. I definitely recommend the lunch specials before 2:30 pm, the relaxing atmosphere, pleasant staff and in my opinion,delicious and fresh food. Not authentic at all. We ordered the two grilled chicken quesadillas which is a ton of food that we split between 3 people. The... chicken was watery and had no spices or any seasoning at all. If you eat here be ready to pour on the salt because it comes outof the kitchen bland as hell with zero seasoning. There were also no grill marks on the tortillas. We had asked for guac on theside and they didn't bring it. It took far too long before they noticed we were ready to order. There's no reason for us toreturn and I honestly think their people's choice awards are telling about how bad the standards are for people in this area. Ilived in SF where there were amazing taquerias everywhere and this was bland beyond anything I've ever had. Where are the spicesand seasoning? We went on a Monday at around 7 and had to wait 15 minutes. If you have no experience with great Mexican and lovebland watery meat, this is your place! Read more
Not happy at all with this place. Haven?t been there for awhile and decided to go there last night. We ordered out and when we... got our food my husbands was not correct. We ordered red sauce not green and when I took a bite of my taco, I bit into somethinghard! I?m hoping it was the end of a lettuce head but not sure. Chicken was way dry! Prices are extremely reasonable. The service was friendly and quick. We were very happy with the 2 different types of chips and... the salsa was delicious! The Tamales are the best that I have ever had in the area. If you're a cheese fan, this is the placefor you. They do not hold back on the cheese! We will be back when in the area. Read more
We used to love this place so much, we would go every Saturday night. Their chicken enchiladas were absolutely amazing! However... over the past year or so the chicken has been so watery, there is no seasoning or anything it tastes like chicken that you justpulled out of a pot of water. What is going on?
