As good as Italy! What a gem in our city. Food always perfect (I have the lamb) atmosphere nice for a date night or family... gathering. Prices are worth the quality. Can't fault it at all! Read more

We had dinner with friends yesterday evening and were so impressed. The room was full but our food and service did not suffer.... Kylie, our server, was attentive and sweet. We started with the mussel soup, tomato basil soup and verdure grigiliate.Although everything was great, our favourite was the mussels. Fresh from Salt Spring Island, they were perfectly cooked, hugeand delicious. Our portions were a great size and everything looked so beautiful. Only one of us had room for dessert and hadthe hazelnut bar. It was decadent and creamy. So yummy!! Well done Porta Romana staff. We will see you soon. Read more

Awesome first visit, food and drinks were great. Sadly our second visit was underwhelming. I ordered the same drink and was a... different colour and different ( much smaller) glass. I also question the amount of alcohol used, I tried 2 drinks and seemed tobe lacking. Food that day was very bland(spaghetti and meatballs and ravioli), was offered No pepper as well. I would rather arestaurant raise their prices and give me a good consistent quality experience than cutting corners and never see meagain. Restaurants are very expensive now and we choose wisely whenever we dine out. Definitely worth trying this place as theatmosphere is great and inviting. Read more

The food was delicious and our service was excellent! I've never had better Tiramisu. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is... wheelchair accessibility. The threshold at the entrance is significantly raised and the concrete damaged. It took two of us toget my mom's wheelchair over it and into the restaurant. Fix this please! Read more

I don?t get it. Appetizers delicious (mussels) but the pasta sauce bland, no cracked pepper at table, and when asked, took five... minutes and gave two small quarter turns, is it enough? Now, is it enough? Now? Omg. Needed some sort of chili flakes for someflavour, that took another 5 minutes. It was then cold. Expensive. Two appetizers, two pastas, one beer, 115 ++ Not the mostexpensive, but really the flavour and service was lacking. I really wanted to love it. Love going to independents, but sadly notback here. The food was delicious, but quite pricey for what we got. It's a pleasant enough atmosphere but giving it 3 stars as the service... wasn't the best we've had before. We waited the entire meal for a refill on water and had troubles trying to get the waitingstaff's attention. They were friendly enough though... maybe just short staffed? Either way, it was a nice enough meal, butcould have been a better experience. Read more

My family and I ate at this restaurant for my father's 74th birthday and had an absolutely amazing experience! We were greeted... by the restaurant owner as soon as we walked in. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. I'm actuallypretty shocked that this restaurants is right here in Spruce Grove. It definitely deserves more attention. I will definitely becoming back! Read more

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the owner of the restaurant. Very friendly, and warm greeting. The restaurant... demonstrated as a very safe environment during COVID-19 times.. tables were spaced out and I felt very comfortable eatingout. The food came out hot and fresh. The food was delicious and came out with a generous portion size. As a person who travelsa lot and eats out alot, I was very pleased and will return again. Read more
