This is a nice place to enjoy the big fireplace and a beer but I would not come here for food again. We ordered the jalapeño... poppers which tasted like cardboard and the poutine which was hardly hot. We treated ourselves to dessert, hoping it wouldrectify but the chocolate mousse was so dense that it was like cake batter and the sticky toffee wasn?t sticky and didn?t haveany toffee on it, just a warm cake with ice cream next to it. Restaurant is under renos so went over to the huge pub side. This is a regular stop when returning from snagging some peak in... the general area... nice selection of beer, and menu has a good variety of items to choose from. Had the November Beer andBurger special for $25 and it was fantastic... the beer was huge btw... must have been 20 oz which I did not expect and had todelay our departure a little and dump some coffee down my gullet before kicking off the drive back to Vancouver. We stopped in for a quick bite and drink as we always love the food. Sadly the service was pitiful. After three different... servers coming over, we each ordered an appy, a drink, and a soup. They brought us the wrong soup and never got around tobringing my drink. Over the soup mix-up one of the servers came over and said "The soup thing was my fault. Ha ha ha." Notexactly the apology I was hoping for. When I asked about my beer - they shrugged and brought it around about 10 minutes later.Again, no apology. I know serving isn't the most fun job - but these servers seemed... really uninterested in theirjobs. Bummer. We probably won't be back which is a shame, cause we love the food. Read more

Very nice atmosphere and huge seating in the brewery . Always hit places twice to get a better idea of consistency. Good... selection of beer, food was decent . We had, pizza, veggie curry, and burgers. Very nice selection of colors for merchandisewhich is usually very poor for craft breweries, although they should cater more sizes for the ladies with some xs-s and med.Biggest problem was the staff who were very clueless as far as the local brewery scene goes. The lady in the lobby counter hadbeen there 4 years and had no idea there was 2 other breweries within a 7-10 minute drive. Read more

ANYONE WITH DIETARY RESTRICTIONS BEWARE Worst customer service I?ve ever experienced in my life. Lady was rude over the phone... right from the start when I called to place my order. Ordered a veggie pizza with vegan cheese, and when I received it, therewas dairy cheese on it. We returned to ask them to remake it and was greeted with even more rudeness. She told me that the pizzaI received DID have vegan cheese on it, but the kitchen would remake it anyways. (I?ve been eating dairy free cheese for yearsand work in a kitchen myself so i know vegan cheese when i see it, and that was definitely not it.) She told me told that itwould take 30 minutes to remake the ONE pizza we had ordered (even though the pub with incredibly dead inside.) I told her thatthey should bump my order up since it was made incorrectly and she told me that we can either wait or leave. We ended up waitingover 40 minutes. Any kitchen employee should know that an order made incorrectly gets remade first. Not put at the back of thecue. The new pizza we got was very clearly made correctly, with the right cheese. So what is interesting to me is that theytried to convince us that the first pizza was vegan, simply so they wouldn?t need to remake it, when I had made it clear that Icouldn?t have dairy. As someone who works in food service myself, it is incredibly upsetting to be treated this way. Shame onthat employee and shame on the kitchen for not being careful around dietary restrictions. I brought my family here because I came here a few years ago and loved the beer. My god, this hotel is outstandingly in need of... updates (no A/C to say the absolute least is really disappointing with the rates they charge). The other thing is that I get theodd feeling that the owners just don?t care or only care about the beer (which makes sense tbh because this hotel is not cool asit is) Definitely will not seek out another stay at this place; but will come to get the beer! Been here about a handful of times over the last few years and absolutely loved it. We were back last week and were ... disappointed. Normally the wings are fall off the bone amazing and the pizza delicious but this time not so much. Had the wingswith BBQ sauce, they were pretty mediocre and not much flavour. Ordered a pizza ( The Roni- pepperoni with hot honey drizzle) togo. The pizza took over 25 minutes despite it not being busy and It really just tasted like a very greasy pepperoni pizza,nothing special. I don?t think we?ll be back any time soon. I don?t usually like to say some good things about a place so?.. theserver we had a as awesome ( wish I remembered her name ) and the beers were great. Always a nice view from the patio! Read more

Had a disappointing stay here last night. I have stayed a number of times before and always had a great experience - clean,... comfortable rooms, friendly staff and the convenience of the pub downstairs, so I decided to book again on my way throughSquamish. After this stay, I?d hesitate to stay here again. First off, the staff was lovely, as they always are. Check in waseasy enough, I got my room key and headed up, only to find the room I was given wasn?t what I booked. When I went backdownstairs to find out why, since the front desk host hadn?t said anything, I was told he had missed a note on my file thatthere was a plumbing issue in the room I had originally booked and I had to be moved. Not a huge deal, but a heads up and anoffer to adjust the room rate (since I was moved to a lower priced room) would have been appreciated. The inn was fully bookedso there were no other rooms available, fine. There were two fans going in the room as it was very hot, and no airconditioning. The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. There was hair in several spots on the bathroom floor and Ifound pieces of uncooked spaghetti (?) on the carpet by the bed. As well, there were packets of almonds in one of the nightstanddrawers that had been there for who knows how long. Dinner at the pub was alright, though the menu is much simpler than it usedto be. Value was about average for the area. The manager was available in the morning and said she had done a rate adjustmentafter hearing about the room issue from the night desk clerk, which was nice. There was nothing more offered than apologies forthe less-than-clean room. Read more
