Nice views from the patio, lots of parking. Surprisingly not much of a beer selection, and the recent liquor store strike or... staff shortage or whatever meant not much selection of anything. So I enjoyed a margarita (happy hour) or maybe 2 or 3. That$5 mini burger was tiny and not mighty but ok. Skip the chips they’re really awful, waste of potatoes and poutine not muchbetter. Far too large, cheese couldn’t keep up and mediocre gravy. I had a Caesar with chicken that was not quite the typicalstyle, little shy on the chicken but was decent and I’d order it again. Service was friendly maybe not the quickest to clearor keep my drink full and hmm, a little odd but ok I’m pretty odd too. The place was nearly empty, mid week lateafternoon. Not quite a pub, they allow children (horror!) and there are keno screens but you gotta go down to the casino for aticket. Better than the last pub I stopped in while skipping Whistler on the way to Vancouver. Had a dank experience in thecasino on the way out lol. Read more
I'm not sure how I've never noticed this place before because apparently it's been there for awhile. It's right off of the sea... to sky hwy, connected to the chances casino in squamish. I came with a group of 5 on a Monday, right before sunset. The patiooverlooks a gorgeous rockface for climbers. In the distance you can see base jumpers fly through the sky with paragliders. Theservice we got was great, our server was on point and friendly. I ordered their house burger and it was good, but the fries wereovercooked. It seems that that's the way they are instructed to make them because I noticed that everyone's fries were allslightly overdone. The beer selection is pretty lackluster considering there are superb breweries right down the road from theirrestaurant. Overall, this place has a superb patio, along with a nice view, good service and decor, but does have a large chainrestaurant feel, which could be fixed with a better beer and alcohol selection. This place has amazing location. It is right under the Stawamus Chief. Inside or outside seating. We were here on Sunday and... they had pizza for 10 cad. We had spicy hawaiian, margharita and Bbq chicken. We also order pulled pork putines for starter.They have amazing draft beers. On picture is Stanley Park Peach Wheat. Very good. We can’t say enough positive things about our experience at Match! We ate on the patio overlooking the magnificent mountain;... the view was spectacular! The food was delicious, the drinks were well-executed and the staff were all friendly, professionaland genuinely caring about the satisfaction of their customers! Match is a hidden gem in Squamish. The view from the patio is amazing. The food was great and they have great happy hour deals.
Consistently decent food, the best happy hour in Squamish, all the sports one could ever ask for, sound at your request. Best... patio in the city (one of the best in the province). Great staff with servers and bartenders that feel like family. UFC onSaturdays, one of the few venues in all the province actually showing it (free, no cover charge ever, even on PPV). Events,live music, gambling at the adjacent casino. Honestly, for a restaurant/bar you are hard pressed to find a venue with moreamenities and better staff (willing to go the distance) to ensure you have a memorable guest experience. So went here after working up in whistler. Does open till 3pm which I found odd but we only had to wait 10 mins. Got in a shade... early. Glad we waited. Was met by a very energetic and eager host and had us promptly sat and a server was there quickly togreet us, give us menus, and ask if we like something to drink. I had an IPA which had a sweet flavor to it I wasn't expectingbut enjoyed very much. I had the turkey club, as I'm a huge club fan. The host also recommended it and I would as well. It camewith a decent helping of fries and the sandwich itself had great flavor and was hardly enough to feel as though it would hit thespot. Which it definitely did. Our server did a wonderful job attending us and overall the experience was definitely a 5/5. IfI go back up to whistler to work this is where I'll be stopping again on my way home.
