I know it's a chain, but the Tokyo Express in village landing, has been a staple of Saint Albert since it's opened, if I'm... ordering teriyaki chicken, I'm ordering it from Tokyo Express, chefs kiss on that dish. Great sushi combos, great prices forthose said combos, very friendly staff, never make you feel silly for not knowing what's in a type of sushi or what something ison the menu, and they are so fast. If you haven't gone because it's a chain, go, I know you won't be disappointed Read more

Not sure what?s happening at this location. Today I ordered four meals, and something extra. I waited almost 30 minutes, and... when I got my food not only was it cold, but the chicken was no where near as crispy and browned as prior visits. The skin wasrubbery and barely rendered. Then upon leaving I requested my free fruit tea to be Strawberry. She said to me ?ya ok you canhave one?, took a full one out of the fridge, poured maybe half into a different cup, put on a lid and gave it to me without astraw. She gave the impression that she was insulted I asked for my free tea after I used my Tokyo Express card. I have neverfelt so unwelcome here before. Maybe I?ll go into Edmonton instead? Read more

The food was good but the fruit tea trick was frustrating. Right by the checkout is a big signing saying FREE fruit tea. When... you order they ask if you want a fruit tea and wave to the case full of ready to go tea. We took two and, after wondering whyour bill was almost $15 more than expected, realized they weren?t free, they were $5.99 each. Different fruit tea. Wasn?t justus, the man before us fell for it as well as the woman after. Buyer beware, they are not being transparent. Read more

I emailed the company about my experience but never heard back. So I'll share my email here..... To whom it may concern, Tokyo... Express in St Albert AB has been my go to place for sushi take out for awhile. I always order the same thing; dragon eye rolls,Mexican rolls, and a spicy tuna cone. Well I noticed some changes were made to these items, and not for the better. First thedragon eye rolls used to come with a little cup of this amazing sesame dipping sauce, which was the best part of the previouslyfrozen rolls. Now they took away the cup and pour some sauce directly on the rolls, and the sauce has changed. It's no longerthe delicious one from before, it's now some weird orange one. Perhaps it's siracha mayo? Second my Mexican rolls were very offputting because they were more than 50% tempura crumbs, and had a mystery green sauce coating it. I couldn't even taste thespicy tuna. Lastly the spicy tuna cone. I would love to say that this was fantastic but sadly the cone I paid for wasn't put inmy to go bag. Dinner isn't something I'm willing to compromise on and this experience has turned me off from ever eating attokyo express again. But perhaps my comments can help satisfy future customers. Read more

The chicken rice bowl was overcooked, and the dragon sushi smelled like death so we didn't eat it. Bento box C was decent... enough. Think we'll skip this place in the near future. Read more
