We walked in to this restaurant accidentally but were very grateful we did. It is a hidden gem, understated from the outside but... the atmosphere, service and food, repeat food, was outstanding and high end. Had their prime rib and pork chop, both of whichwere cooked perfectly. Had the chocolate salted caramel cheesecake which was to die for. Jeffrey and Amy were our servers andwere welcoming, prompt, accommodating and impeccable in their service, even to the point of warming customers coats just priorto leaving. Finally had a chance to experience this restaurant last night, which did not disappoint! The restaurant is clean, modern and not... overwhelming (i.e., no blaring music to compete with when trying to have a conversation). The staff were attentive without beinginvasive. A modern restaurant with a lot of amazing talents which come to life in the chef prepared cuisine and curated cocktails. Never... been disappointed. The meals are top notch and some of the most flavourful dishes. I have been coming here for years. I hadseveral staff parties at bolete and also joined them for their NYE party 4 years ago and it was always very well run andorganized and the food was delicious. Stopped by for some apps and a glass of wine mid afternoon. We shared oysters, dumplings, tuna/salmon and chicken liver brulee.... All were very flavorful and well presented. Service was great. Definitely will come back. Entrées looked amazing as they walkedpast our table. Read more

If you appreciate a full dining experience with great food, service and ambience, then Bolete should be your first choice. You... are welcomed like an old friend when you arrive and you can either sit inside and watch the culinary masters work or enjoy thesummer weather on the patio. I’ve been coming to Bolete for awhile and I can confidently say I’ve tried at least 75% of the menu at this point. I don’t... think I’ve ever had a dish I didn’t like. You really do get what you pay for when it comes to the portion sizes andflavours. If you’re going for brunch, the Lobster Benny is my favourite. If you’re going for dinner, the crab cakes andlobster pasta are 10/10. It’s so great to have a restaurant in downtown SC that not only has great food but a really niceatmosphere. On a lazy, late afternoon we popped in for drinks and appetizers.We were shocked that we somehow missed this restaurant. With an... inviting interior that exposes the kitchen and an outdoor patio...it seemed promising. Service was attentive but we were alsothe only patrons. We liked the creative drink menu, but the actual drinks fell short. Drink menu was appealing to the eye yetthe flavors simply didn't come together. Oysters were good and we also ordered dumplings. Alright happenstance stop but we werenot wowed by the food or drinks. By the same token, we didn't order much so it is possible we missed the wow factor. Read more

First time visiting and I was pleased with the experience. Service was very professional, polite and fast, very attentive... without hovering. My fellow diner had been there before and she recommended we share a particular item and then we each had anentree. Presentation was beautiful, dishware and silverware classy and clean. Always love a fabric napkin!! Interior is veryclean and modern, lovely decor. Prices were good, considering the quality and presentation. Thank you for the positiveexperience. My only suggestion would be to keep the music lighter and a bit quieter, some tracks were heavy and loud, didn'tsuit the environment nor the experience.
