We went back again and as before Service is always excellent! Staff is friendly and the food is very good! It was the first... time my husband and I had been to Montys and we were pleasantly surprised! We enjoy a game of billiards and not to mayestablishments have a table. We had a game, our waitress was super friendly and informative regarding the menu and specials andthe food was good! The only thing we would like to see is a day of free pool. From the minute we walked into Monty's I enjoyed my experience. Large space and breathable atmosphere with plenty of tv's and a... bar with a clear selection of their endless liquors and beers on tap. I was pleasantly surprised to hear some Kendrick Lamarwhen I walked in as it was refreshing change from the typical 80's tunes. I ordered a caesar and it was dynamite. He even askedif I wanted it hot, med, or mild, now that is service! We started with the baked brie topped with candied bacon which wasdelightful. Followed that up with the fish and chips. Now typically with a battered deep fried fish I expect the deep fryer tobe most of what I taste but this was not the case! The batter itself was flavourful and the fish flavour came through perfectly.The tartar sauce was other worldly. It was the perfect punch in a cream sauce but the cherry on top was the coleslaw. I lovedthe oil and vinegar flavour that contrasted perfectly with the rest of my plate and yet tied it all together. Also the waterthat I ordered was the perfect water to ice ratio. AMAZING food and even better service. My boyfriend and I went to Monty's for our first date in June 2021 and have decided to... make it a yearly tradition on the same day. This year we got the chicken and waffle sandwhich and wings in the garlic Buffalosauce. Both literally the best food we've had at a restaurant. My boyfriend is still raving about the waffle chicken sandwich 5days later and my wings were the crispiest most perfectly cooked wings I've had. The garlic Buffalo sauce is a must. We havedecided to cancel our reservation at the Lakehouse for our official 1 year anniversary and come back to Montys for that too.Keep up the amazing work! Ps. Even got the MOST AMAZING desert made for us, fried dough smothered in chocolate sauce and peanutbutter. I could've died happy after that. Read more

Great local bar and restaurant. Terrific service on their patio. Their nachos are great -- also had the chicken strips which... were decent. Very good beer selection as well. Would recommend this place for summer evenings out. Read more
