Have been to this location several times before and understand that a wait is to be expected on weekend mornings. Unfortunately... it looked as though they were understaffed this morning which lead to chaos and many tables walking out without getting theirfood. It was frustrating as no one gave us the heads up or communicated we would be waiting over an hour. No server touched basewith us at any point although they did have people offering coffee occasionally. When we finally asked about the wait time(again had been here over an hour at this point) the employee was apologetic but said it would be a while longer. At that pointwe asked to cancel our order. While waiting in line to pay for our coffee and tea (not even waived for the inconvenience), allthe other people waiting behind me voiced the same frustrations. We saw at least 5 tables walk out without food and there wereeven people standing outside telling others not to waste their time. I think even more confusing to all patrons was that theywere still seating people and taking mobile orders instead of slowing down and letting the kitchen/servers get caught up. Went here for breakfast at 7:30 am on a Sunday morning. The music station was playing loud hip hop music. When we asked if it... could be turned down we were told that "the boss" put that on and our waiter couldn't do anything about it. He had thepersonality of a rock. Food overcooked and bland. Western sandwich was only a ton of onions and ham...no green pepper. No taste anyway, overcooked.... Didn't even eat 1/2 one side. Pancakes dense, no taste. Service slow, but not his fault only one working a full breakfastshift. Wont be back. Read more

Went on A Saturday at 2 ordered the crab cake Benny the crab cake was wet the Benny sauce was flavourless one egg was overcooked... when egg was undercooked and the panfries were Burnt. Will never go back. Waited an hour for our food and watched take out order after take out order get taken out. Ordered the... breakfast poutine which is made almost of all homefries and they were not fully cooked. Ate maybe 6 bites. Offered nothing forexperience. Free tea? Free coffee? Discount? No thanks. Went in on Victoria Day since it was one of the few restaurants open. Wifi is listed as free all over the restaurant, but it is... password protected. For drinks my wife ordered a Cesar and I ordered a coke. She said the Cesar was GREAT, while my cokearrived in a can. It wasn't a big deal, but I do wish the menu clearly stated it was a can instead of fountain. My wifeordered the BLT and I ordered the bacon cheddar burger (I forget the name). The food took 45 min to arrive, to which thewaitress said it was because a burger takes a long time to cook. The BLT was generous with the bacon, but the bread wasincredibly dry. The burger was cooked to a hockey puck, but very generous on the toppings as well. The homefries that camewith both meals was cooked properly, but had no seasoning or flavor. The waitress was inattentive and impolite. Our drinks ranout as our food arrived, but she made no attempt to offer water or additional drinks. We had to waive her down to ask forwaters later, to which she responded "yea" and nothing else. Honestly she seemed intent on closing down the restaurant earlydue to the holiday rather than serving the few tables seated. Long story short, very unimpressed. This was the worst breakfast I have ever received from a restaurant ever. First order: Sunset Western on White with Home Fries... WELL DONE?.. the bread was hardly toasted, and severely soggy, the eggs were burnt and the home fries were RAW. Wheneverordering from Sunset Grill (which this is my last time) I ask for well done home fries because they are always raw?.. well ONCEAGAIN EVEN WHEN ASKING FOR WELL DONE THEY WERE ACTUALLY HARD THEY WERE SO RAW. Sunset Western on Brown : exact same problems,toast was soggy, eggs were burnt and my ?well done? home fries were raw and hard. Florentine Omelette with WELL DONE home friesand Light Rye Toast?.. first off DIDNT EVEN GET MY TOAST (got the single pack of jam though)?. MY OMELETTE WAS SO BURNT IT WASPHYSICALLY CHEWY AND INEDIBLE. The onions in the omelette were so raw you could hear them crunch when I cut into the omelette.They didn?t even bother cooking the onions. Just sheer disrespect and laziness on behalf of the kitchen. My home fries were notonly NOT well done, they were COLD AND RAW MAKING THEM INEDIBLE. When your omelette comes out literally brown from being burntit?s pathetic. Two orange juices: they couldn?t even get the orange juice right. It was warm, and tasted so watery we weretrying to decipher if it was actually orange juice. During covid money is tight, and eating out is a treat. Well this was acomplete waste of money. So bad we ended up ordering from Wimpy?s and spending twice as much for one edible meal.
