One of the worst experiences I've had at a Teriyaki Experience.. and it's my go-to place for lunch when I'm at the mall shopping... (first time at Pen Center). From ordering (very moody young lady, who only seemed interested in accepting my payment and gettingto the next paying customer) to having to say 3 times I wanted extra T Sauce on my rice and basically having to beg for hotsauce... and don't you dare ask for onion nor mushrooms (which at other locations is INCLUDED).. yup, wanted to up-charge me onboth counts. I realize COVID means things have changed, but where's the shredded cabbage, carrots and bean sprouts etc thatcame with the combo? I also understand that COG did go up, but upcharge for things which normally came with a combo? The foodwas bland, even with their interpretation of extra sauce. No trace of the hot sauce I begged for and and to be honest, thechicken was as dry as the amazon cardboard boxes in my recycle bin (no I don't eat cardboard). I'm a huge fan of Teriyaki andused to be a regular customer of TE.. that is no longer the case on the latter. Read more
Wow, I haven't been here since before covid. Prices up, while size down. The chicken pieces were sliced so thin I could see... daylight through them, no joke. 3.00 for a bottle of water, ughh. And to top it off, it had zero flavor. Sad really, it was mygoto place for something to eat after shopping. Read more
I work in the mall and wanted to try this place for a change, mainly because I saw that they had soup on their menu. I ordered... and waited for my food and while I was waiting I saw that my receipt said something else on the menu, not soup. So I went to thegirl just to clarify and she with the other male there said we are out of soup. The man who seemed like the manager was reallyagressive in his tone towards me like I purposely didn?t ask for soup. Like I said I work in the mall and waisted half my breakat this place only to get blamed that I wasn?t clear? Fair enough it was obviously mis communication and it?s super loud in thecafeteria, but I work in customer service too and I would never act like that towards a customer even if they were in thewrong. Used to be my favourite food place in the mall, but the staff have become rude and the service is so bad that I won?t ever go... back. Plus be careful because they started adding $1.75 for extra vegetables and $1.00 for extra sauce on every rice bowl when Inever asked for extra anything. So if you?re not paying attention to your bill, they sneak in that $2.75 surcharge even thoughyou didn?t ask for extra veg or sauce. I don?t recommend this place anymore. Read more
Tried for the first time. We ordered veggie bowl with organic tofu with noodles base. I liked the veggies quite healthy but tofu... isn?t in my list. Overall $19 for a bowl well spent. Read more
FREAKING delicious food! I come here once a week or so, and the food is always HOT, fresh and savory! Not sure what they put in... their array of sauces but it is to die for...! I order the Signature Beef Teriyaki with Noodles and it's amazing, the Chicken isalso really good as well! One of my favourite take out places in the area! Read more
The most delicious teriyaki I have ever try. Definitely will try again. Nice service, and perfect taste.
Just watched an employee drop one of their utensils on the ground while cooking. Rather than wash it properly, he picked it up... and rinsed it under water with no soap. Can?t say I?ll be back here to eat. Read more
