Amazing little Irish pub! I came here twice while in St John's and loved it. There are lots of beers on tap and lots of options... on the menu. The cod au gratin was delicious and their chicken wings are huge and meaty. The live entertainment is top notch,too. D'Arcy and Kevin put on a fantastic show. Highly recommend! Read more
I came here with my family. We were a group of 4. There were no tables inside so we snagged a seat on the covered patio. This... turned out to be a good choice as the live music started up soon after we sat down around 7pm and inside I image would have beenloud. We had 3 of us had turkey sandwiches (with two of us sharing one plus an appy) and then then our 4th had the Caesar salad.We were quite content with our meals and would not dissuade someone from dining here if considering it. Great little pub, food is good and so is the service. Brodericks burger is enough for two people, or one hungry person.... Breakfast is also good. Read more
My husband and I stumbled upon Broderick's while we were exploring St John's in November 2021, we were visiting from Montreal.... The live music caught our ears and lured us in and we are so happy that it did, because we had the best experience. The staffwere welcoming and friendly, the drinks were flowing, the food was delicious, the live music was amazing, Kevin Evans and DarcyBroderick we're playing, and some of the other patrons became our friends. We ended up going back two more times while we werein the city for 5 days. When we went back we were warmly welcomed and treated like locals. I cannot express enough how much weloved this pub, we will definitely be going back the next time we're in Newfoundland. I highly recommend checking them out ifyou're in the area, you won't regret it! Read more
Great pub on Water St, we enjoyed the patio on a beautiful summer evening. The food was tasty and our server was friendly and... efficient, making us feel welcome to enjoy our time there. However, I did find the live music was too loud out on the deck andit made conversation even more challenging for my deaf friend. Read more
Had a really decent meal on the 19th Aug,2021. Everyone enjoyed their meals for the most part. My daughter loves what appeared... to be home made chick fingers as well.A + . I got the Broderick Burger, which is basically 2 burgers on 1 long bun. Burger meattexture was great, cooked properly and had great presentation. 2 things I didn?t like though, the bacon was not cooked well,very ?raw? and rubbery tasting. Not a fan of that. And the bun was either very stale or just really toasted too much as it washard as a biscuit! I ended up pulling it all apart to discard a good portion of the bud. I would order it again but ask for thebun not to be toasted. Even with that it was still pretty decent. Staff were all very pleasant and we had some live music whilewe ate. A bit loud for us to talk during the meal but was still entertaining. We will come back and try it again another day. Read more
